I don't know if this is just one of my pet peeves. As a whole I love the books, but I get really frustrated when the covers of the books have a different model on them. Claire Danvers is blonde in the books. On the covers I've seen her go from blonde to dark to red. In my honest opinion, I feel that if you know your novels are going to span out in a series of books then get one model who is a clear resemblance of character and use her for the whole series. For example, the House of Night books have the same model, even on the website. I could be just nit-picking but does anyone agree?

I love the Iron Fey series covers because they use the same model and she actually looks like the description of the character.

I'm a very visual reader, I paint little pictures in my head of what a character would look like. The covers while they're nice? They just aren't claire.
i find it much easier with the English covers because there not really meant to be anyone, and the whole theme of them is much better.
o yeah isn't Claire meant to have short hair, btw she had pink hair in one of the covers because of the wig that she bought with eve (i think).
i never realized that's why she had pink hair!!!! good observation. i liked the covers from the fist books best, because it was just some weird shadow, instead of a person
I don't like it when they place models on the covers, regardless if they "look" the the description or not. Everyone has their own vision on what the characters look like, and when you see a cover with a model, THAT is what you picture. It's irritating.

i guess i'm okay with a partial model, you know, like the back of one, or a silhouette or something like that.
that's also why i don't like books that have the movie adapted covers....i always go for the originals...
