You know, just once I'd like to read a historical romance where the main couple is already happily married, and deal with some issue that married people sometimes have to deal with.
I like the different sides of the tracks
love/hate relationship as long as they get to the love before the end of the book lol
working together on a common goal (i.e. searching for missing person or something, foiling villain's plans)
kidnapped, captive/captor
rescued and nursing back to health
Alpha men and the spitfire gal that tames em
and more...

Double Ditto!
"rescued and nursing back to health"
Ditto!
In this one,
the H/h start out getting married and have to work to build their relationship as they had a shared past

Nicola is also a really lovely woman"I went hunting through my books last night, and I have the second book in the Brides of Fortune series. I guess I'll be getting book one soon; I prefer to start at the very beginning of any series. Have you read that series yet?
