Kyrstal flew around her part of the forest

Emily ran to keep up with Kyrstal. She saw her circling overhead and she called up, "You know I can't get you up there."

Kyrstal flew down to Emily, and laughed "I know." she smiled

Emily laughed. "Oh Krystal. What would I do without you?"

((Do I just jump in? And do we need to think up a plot?))

Kyrstal looked at Emily "Nothing, your day your be completly boring." she smiled

Alanna remained at her post as always, next to the fountain, which flowed with a happy trickling sound.

Emily broke into a wide grin. "Hey, just wondering. Do you believe that there actually is a fountain in every elf family that has healing magic and that there is an elf guarding each individual fountain?"

She scanned the area around her, then sighed. Nothing has bothered to steal from the fountain in ages. She felt bored.

"I dont know." said kyrstal "You want to check it out, I saw a fountain the other day."

"Really? Where?" Emily asked in curiousity.

"Come on." she headed through the familar woods where she saw a beutifal fouintain with crystal water

Emily followed and stopped dead in her tracks. Infront of her stood the most beautiful fountain she had ever seen. "Wow. It's so beautiful."

Alanna turned in surprise. "Who are you?"

"I am krystal we just wanted to see how beautifull your fountain was."

Emily looked at the elf and asked her, "How long have you been here?"

Alanna looked back, unsure whether to think they meant the fountain harm or not. "I've been here since I was young."

"Oh. Your fountain is very beautiful," Emily said pointing to the fountain behind the elf. "I'm Emily by the way."

"I'm Alanna," she replied.

"Nice name. So what do the fountains do. 'Cause I've heard aboout them, but never know what they can do."

"I'm not sure I can trust you," said Alanna.

"That's fine. I totally understand. If there was something I had that I wanted to keep safe, I don't know if I would trust you either. Totally understandable."

Alanna frowned slightly. "You seem quite friendly for just meeting me."

Krystal rubbed against Emily "I know when I first met her I broke my paw and she helped me without even hesitating."

Alanna looked at her. "And who are you?"

"This is Krystal. She's a flying wolf."

"Yep sirre." Krystal said as she spread out her wings.

"I see." Alanna nodded. "And why-"
But she never to finished her sentence. All of a sudden the trickling of the fountain stopped. Alanna turned in horror to see that the water was no longer flowing.

Krystal trotted over "What happened??"

"I-I don't know." Alanna said as she went to the fountain's edge.
((I decided to make something up for a plot. Maybe they go on a quest to find the fountain's true source and there they'll find people blocking the flow, or something like that.))

"Has this ever happened before??" asked Krystal

Alanna shook her head. Her eyes were widened in worry and fear. "This should have never happened. Something must be wrong."

Krystal sat down next to Alanna "We will help you."

Alanna looked at her, tears in the corners of her eyes. "You will?"

"Of coure!!" said kyrstal also surprised to see Alanna surprised.

Alanna smiled and wiped the tears. "I'm sorry, it's just that guarding this fountain has been my whole life."

"Yeah it must be very important to you." she said

She nodded. "I must go find out how this happened. Maybe I'll have to go to its source."

"Then that's where we'll start. Where is the source of the fountain's water anyway?"

Alanna hesitated. "I'm not exactly sure. It's been passed down the generations in my family, but it is more of a riddle."

"Then what's the riddle? I'm really good at figuring out riddles." Emilly replied hoping the elf would tell her.

"yeah..." said krystal. "Me not so much."

Alanna shut her eyes to concentrate. "Well, I think it goes like this.
Around hills and over streams,
The source of the fountain is past a thing that screams,
And under a shooting star, toward the tree that isn't what it seems."

Krystal thought "I dont know." she turned to Emily "Why dont you have a whack at it."

"Well, a thing that screams...that might be a little hard. But around hills and over streams, I think you can figure that out Krystal."

((Just to let you know, I thought the thing that screams should be a banshee))
"Well, I guess that is the best place to begin. We should go around hills and over streams." Alanna said.

"Well there's a couple hills over there," she said pointing north.

Alanna nodded. "That's good," she said, then started walking.

Krystal stopped "wait!!" she said "My Home it was call Around Stream Valley. There is a forest right beond that."
