Figure I should stop filling up the xbox thread with random E3 stuff.

So Microsoft and Sony had their conferences yesterday(along with a few other game companies such as EA).

Today we have Ninentendo(which started at 9am pacific)

So far, I'm diggin' on most of the 360 reveals. And Twisted Metal for PS3.

Any games in particular the rest of you are now looking forward to?

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Just to point out, Reggie from Nintendo annoys the hell out of me and always has for some reason.

Also, the Nintendo conference so far has been all 3DS stuff. Meh.

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Anything with guns, gratuitous violence and the chance to humiliate friends is on my watch list. I totally missed out on Twisted Metal revamp. Awesome!

And Nintendo is lame as hell, as is the Wii. It's fine for kids and women that wanna have dance parties or do karaoke but dudes with guns belong on the PS3 or 360.

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, that Twisted Metal caught me off guard. I have fond memories of getting together with a group of friends and playing the hell out of Twisted Metal back in the day.

Glad to see it finally come back.

Also, Street Fighter x Tekken on PS3 looks promising too.

As for Nintendo...eh. They supposedly have a new console, I want to see what it's all about. I still have fond memories of playing Rogue Squadron on the Gamecube years ago and would love a new one.

Plus...you know... Pokemon /shame

:P

Awwww, dang.

*Grabs permanent marker and deducts 10 points from Ala's mancard*

Street fighter will forever be a revamp fail as long as the fighting mechanics stay the same. I went to a buds house and proceeded to destroy him and everyone else present on the latest SF installment after not playing for roughly 15 years. It was seriously kind of sad for all of us

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

I do have fond memories of playing Golden Eye and Perfect Dark on the 64. Badassery to be had.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

ahahaha, I haven't actually played a Pokemon game in a long time. :P

And they can't really change SF too much, or those hardcore mofos would get pissed.

Also: WiiU is the new nintendo system? wtf? and their controller has a damned screen on it? wtf is this nonsense?

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

It's not even a new system, it's just a new controller...

It's an iPad with controller buttons. A WiiPad if you will.

This is the stupidest thing ever.

Nintendo, I am dissapoint.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

ahahaha

their exclusive is Lego City Stories

ahahaahahaha

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

WiiU?
Iike a siren noise? Ugh. Fail. Epic, epic fail

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Yep, that's what they're calling it.

Here's the video:

Wow. I really wanted to slap that guy. Is that Reggie?

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 7282 comments I really have to get caught up on E3. Is G4 running re-runs?

BTW, Grant... the Wii zapper was pretty decent. Hubby and I played a few shooters on it (and Link's target practice. LOVE Link's Target practice.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

It's just the graphics and controls. Theres just a serious lack of finesse for shooters on the Wii. I'll check out the zapper tho

I like it. It was great for precision shots (one shot/one kill) BUT I have to admit I never did any of the hard core games like CoD.

Speaking of CoD...is it screwed up of us (me & hubby) that we don't want the game because it shows a war located on our soil? I get and love the realism of CoD but I like it best when they make up locations. It makes me feel better.

heh, yeah, that's Reggie. Mr Nintendo USA. Such a douchebag.

As far as CoD goes, I like that they've taken it this route. With war on American Soil. Far better than Fakebekistan or somesuch.

I mean, that last game with the White House and all of DC torn asunder? That was great. This time it's NYC? Should be even better.

The last one made me so uncomfortable to watch (yes, I am one of those people who will sit and watch other people play video games). In fact, he told me not to pick up a copy of this one for him (yes, I am the person who supplies hubby with video games).

I'm sad the new Wii isn't too hot. We are always looking for good two player games (which are hard to come by).

I gotta agree with Ala on this one. I like the idea of a game that brings the war to US soil. It's more interesting when your war takes place somewhere to which you can personally relate. Besides, I figure it's good prep for the future. No way, my lifetime ends without there being a war in the States.

Well, I'm rebuking that statement. :)

yeah. that doesn't look familiar at all.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Lmao @ MrsJ. My best friend says that all the time. That and "unleash".
As in, "if you speak it, you're gonna unleash it, Grant. I rebuke it! Leash it back up!". Lmao.

Ahhhhh, that made me smile :)

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow gears of war ripoff much.....

Ninja Gaiden 3 looks interesting.

Aliens: Colonial Marines. Huh. Not much to look at yet, but would be nice to play in the Aliens universe.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 7282 comments I can't see it. sad panda

Dunno if anyone is still checking out E3 coverage, but came across this gem of a game:

Pay special attention to the Amazon and the Sorceress.

Ah E3, you never fail to have some of the most hilarious games ever.
