Thanks for this wonderful link. I can't wait for November.
Just want more of the trailer...well the whole movie would do! Why do we have to wait till November 2011 and then November 2012? Just seems so long to have to wait..................

Just tried to copy and paste this trailer from another Twilight group for Moms but it looks like it broke. I think we have all seen this one anyway but fun to watch again.

Great trailer! Given that they've revealed that Bella thinks she's pregnant, I wonder just how far into the book they take this part 1.

I wonder too. I am so very glad there are going to be two movies as this book is too big for one. They even left out too much of Twilight IMO.
The new format here baffled me last night but I think I am getting used to it today.

First of all, let me say...I am more excited about Breaking Dawn pt. 1 than Christmas. Edward is my sparkling hunk of hot stone...so, naturally, he's ... oh my God, everything...I could watch him lose him temper all day...And yes, I think the trailer looks amazing. But, they could literally just stand there and I'd be no more excited than I am right now...
However, did anyone notice that the whole Rosalie/Bella protection thing was severely underplayed? And what's with the werewolves going after the Cullen's physically? That totally never got there in the books.
I understand that movies take certain creative liberties when moving a book to the big screen...but, I think the one place Twilight has always fallen "just shy" is when the director or the script writer, Melissa Whatsherface, tries to make something happen that didn't happen...or...leaving things out.
Like, for example...here's something that bothers me...
In Eclipse (the book) we learn that there is severe tension between the Cullens and the Denali clan because the werewolves kill Laurent. Okay...now, in Eclipse (the movie) that is totally glossed over...it never happens.
But...that little "argument" in Eclipse is the entire drama in BD. Irina goes to the Volutri because she sees Bella with the wolves, right? And there's that little point about the immortal child...but...still... Basically, SM wrote it as that she's so put out over the murder that it drives her to that point of betraying a friend--someone she's considered family. So, how do you suppose they'll reconcile the two come movie time?
For someone, like my husband, who'd never read the books but does see the movies, that's a big leap to make.
So, yes, in short (after the long) I'm thrilled about BD...can not wait...but I'm going in expecting a somewhat watered down version.

I am also more excited about Breaking Dawn than Christmas. I loved SM info about Robert Pattinson which I just read last night in Bedazzled. "He's a very mesmerizing person to be around. He's got such a compelling personality. I don't think you'd want him for a boyfriend. And you couldn't just be his friend because he's terribly sexy." (EW.com, Karen Valby, no given date.)
I just loved this as its seems to accurate to me.Bedazzled: Stephenie Meyer and the Twilight Phenomenon

Also in Bedazzled I got a big kick out of this from SM:
"It's the 50-year-old women who are screaming the loudest!" (EW.com, "Stephenie Meyer: Inside the "Twilight Saga.") I will have to get my own copy of this book.

I agree with you, i think the music has been great so far!We watched Eclipse again last night, just before it started they showed the BD trailer.Kinda gets the heart beating faster!
No. I don't think he uses drugs...at least not the hard stuff, smoking--yes, pot--maybe. But more to the point, I think he's socially awkward and slightly baffled by his own fame--which comes off as a man askew. He really wasn't a headliner before Twilight, and it's only been what? 4 years? 4 years to that sort of blinding popularity...huge adjustment. And he's also only like 23/24...
thanks Ashley ...I am so glad you said this as it makes me feel better. In Bedazzled I read the whole group was simply baffled by their sudden fame and Robert never expected the "Rob Mob" where they chase him and try to tear his hair out!!! What on earth is wrong with people to want to do some strange thing like that to people they admire? The book Bedazzled is full of all kinds of fascinating tidbits so will have to get my own copy eventually.
I read that awful remark on Utube and people will say anything there.

Good observations. I've noticed the movies have followed the books less closely with each installment. I think this is mainly due to marketing and trying to attract more money(as if that were necessary). For instance, when Eclipse was about to come out, all of the actors and the director kept saying it was "for the guys" and "a movie men will want to watch." I found this a bit irritating since, hello!, the majority of the fan base is women and young girls! They seemed to be arguing that the female audience did not matter or was irrelevant until they increased the male viewership--something I found horribly misogynistic. (Sorry to sound so cynical! It did annoy me, though...)
I do think, though, that having Stephenie as a producer is a great sign, as is the fact that it will be split into two movies. It's more reassuring to the fans that the author has control over the content. We'll see....
By the way, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, and I'm much more thrilled about Breaking Dawn, Part 1 than Thanksgiving this year!

I read somewhere that Stephenie said she could just imagine Part 2 beginning with Bella opening her eyes as a vampire. I guess we'll know in about six weeks....

Personally I'm a fan and as a fifty something gay man I realize that I'm an odball but then it's been ages since I came to terms with my inner child being a 13 year old fat girl.
So excited....just booked tickets to go and watch the movie. Looking forward to it so much, just really unsure where they are going to finish this movie. I just want it all now! Have the soundtrack already so now just need to know what music fits where in the movie as I have already made my mind up as to where I think it fits... How wrong can I be?Counting the days to jacob!!!!!!
I was lucky to see the movie after the Breaking Dawn Black Premiere in LA and to answer your question (without saying too much) the movie ends when Bella changes. I am addicted to the soundtrack. Love all the songs. It was fun guessing where each song fits in what part of the movie. Once I saw the movie, when playing the soundtrack all I can think of is the scenes from the movie. LOL!
OME! The movie (in my opinion) is AMAZING! It's my fave out of all the movies. Can't wait for you all too see it. Look forward to seeing it again at the midnight premiere. :)
Breaking Dawn opens at our very small theater here at ten pm so I may go see it if my little doggie feels better. She is sick and gets nervous if I leave her.
I am very excited. There is also 12:30 am showing!

Ah man! Hope the doggie feels better :). The movie opens today in South Africa as well, so we didn't have to wait long at all! Definitely seeing it this weekend!
Thanks Tuesday! Well, it was the first time I ever saw a movie on its first night but it was well worth it.
When I get the DVD I am going to be watching it over and over.
How do I put a spoiler here? don't scroll down if you don't want to know a bit about the movie.
The movie is different.

Well, at first its terrifying and so many get upset as you can read on Facebook. I will privately email you if you really want to know? then everything gets back on track. The movie is super good and maybe better than the book but I have to think about it more.
