Hello! I'm new to town and thought a bookclub would be a good way to meet people. Do you guys still meet? Noticed there hasn't been much activity on the site since spring...

The girl who started our club moved up north and we haven't done anything with the club since :( There were a couple of other ladies who thought about taking it over but I guess everyone is busy and no one has taken the initiative.

Would anybody want to start up again?

I would be interested in taking over if everyone is still interested in doing this. I really enjoyed it and would like to keep doing this...

HEY LADIES!!! Marcia & Fiona I would like to introduce myself. I am Heidi. I was the original starter of this GREAT book club. However I got a new job I did not forsee being offered and now I live 300+miles away. :-( WHICH SUCKS!!! Because no one up here wants to be in a book club. What is it with these northern Idahoans. Hahah. ANYWAYS... All the ladies in the club were great ladies and if Jen wants to take it over, let me know, I will send you all the emails etc. ALSO if you do start it back up again I would love to take place from afar. Discuss on here the book you are reading etc. I will be with you in spirit. Just not in person. SAD!!! I really want a book club again. SO ladies start it up. Hehehe. Anyways... Let me know what you do. AND jen if you do start it up again I will give you access to this site as an administrator. OK ladies... Miss you all. Happy Reading!!!

SO are you ladies going to start it up? I am eagerly awaiting if you are. I miss talking about books. Funny story... I was reading this book that everyone at work had read. Called "The Bitch Posse". Well I was at a certain part about half way through the book and I wanted to talk about it. You know me Jen I like to do that. Not know the end just talk about what I had read thus far. NO ONE wanted to discuss it with me. They all thought I was trying to ruin the ending for myself. That is when I realized I wasn't in "Boise" anymore. I WANT A BOOK CLUB!!!!! So if you guys start I will be excited.

I would be interested in checking out your club / dinner thing especially once I get off of these night shifts in November. I can't get to your web page though. Maybe you could send it to me. Thanks!

I would love to see the club started up again too. Anyone who wants to lead is fine with me. I like the idea of it being online...maybe we could do both a real live discussion and an online discussion? In case anyone can't make it (and obviously Heidi you won't be able to :(...) they could still be part of the discussion online.

I haven't logged into good reads in forever! I'm glad I did today and saw this - I thought our book club was dead. I tried to keep it going after Heidi left but no one seemed interested in reading the book or going to the meetings, so I decided not to be a pest and just let it go.

I would love to still be a part and read new things. I missed the meeting at McGraths (dang it) but am super interested in keeping it going! Obviously, I suck as a leader as I tried to take the reins when Heidi left and just couldn't keep the momentum that she started going.
