How do you lend on kindle?I'm getting a kindle for my birthday (in two weeks) and I've often wondered how it works. When you send books do they disappear from your kindle? Can you get them back easily?
When you lend you go to the page of the book & it tells you if it can be lent. When you lend it, the person gets it for two weeks. During that two weeks, you can't read it, but at the end of the two weeks it automatically comes back on your kindle. :)
Cool that sounds good. I didn't know if there's a certain technology you have t have that British kindles don't, I've found it all very confusing! I read this article and got even more confused!http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-...
I don't know if lending with libraries is like lending to others?
Yeah... For some reason I'm thinking that I heard that British people can't lend. But once you get your kindle, let's see! :)
Okay, so after I find out which book on my kindle I am allowed to lend, what do I do? I would LOVE to share... Sounds so nice since I am breaking my account buying books all the darn time :)
Lending books is only available to US residents. Over seas people can receive books but they aren't able to lend any at this time.To lend a book you have to be in your Manage My Kindle page and click on the plus sign next to the book you want to lend. From there is takes you to a page with a lend button, you push that, enter the person's email address and hit submit and you are done. They have 7 days to accept the book and then 14 days from that date to read it. If you keep your wireless off then you can still access the book and read it but if you turn wireless off then it goes into your archives until it is returned to you.
