Susan (susanciao) | 13 comments Okay, so I know how it's good that we're getting book recommendations and talking about books we love, but how about talking about books we HATE? :D
Yeah, that's right.
I know it's unhealthy being negative, but it's okay to have a negative rant here and there.
So who wants to start? (It may be hard because we all seem to have different tastes in what books we love/hate.)

The Good Earth by Pearl S Buck (I didn't hate it, but it was really boring)
The Heart of Darkness (a book that was really confusing)
The Time Machine (I hate sci-fi, but I heart fantasy)

Susan (susanciao) | 13 comments MY GOSH I HATED THE GOOD EARTHH TOOO!! Okay, partially b/c it was boring, but also b/c of the treating of O-Lan! I got really pissed in the middle of the book at Wang Lung that I could have literally ripped the book apart....but I couldn't b/c it was a school book. :D

I never read the Heart of Darkness.

Time Machine was okay...it was just really boring. I typically like sci-fi though like the Hunger Games and the Giver series. :DDD

Susan (susanciao) | 13 comments Agreed. I also hated Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson. I mean, it was well-written but I just really disliked the whole story itself.
