Didn't like it :( Boring and with such a rubbish non-original plot and unrealistic relationship. Being stuck in Beth's head gave me migraines. She was annoying, wimpy, dull and like so many other weak heroines found in paranormal YA... I would not be friends with this girl in real life.

it totally sucked, i dreaded every minute that i had to open its wretched pages. i soon stopped after about 67% the way through. ugghh.

Yeah...this book was uhh....bad....to say the least. Every single bit of it was predictable to every last letter. And the back of the book gave away the best part of the book! And that wasn't even that good. Plus, the girl pulled a 'Twilight' and got depressed and annoying when her boyfriend stopped liking her. aanndd the only part of the book with action lasts about six pages. SIX PAGES OF EXCITING NOTHINGNESS!

Hated it. When Jake Thorn or whatever his name is showed up...I stopped reading. Bethany was so annoying.

I loved it! i dont know why but i did and people keep saying that its like a religeous wannabe of twilight.. i dont agree cause she didnt choose between xavier and jake! she only wanted xavier..!
and some has said that jake thorns name were SOOO mainstream yeah well he did choose it himself his real name is arakiel...

i adored it!! alexandra wrote her first series at 13 and i have 'the shadow theif' which was the first book. the official first line was 'all children but one grow up'! how genius is that?!?!?!?!?!
her characters are well thought out and the plot lines are works of pure genius!!!

I'm really not too impressed with it so far. It's amazing how many other people have ripped on it. It is the regular ol' love story just cut and pasted into a new scenario, which does get quite old after a while. But I guess that's what I get for looking in the 'teen section'. It's alright if you're looking for a mindless read.

I honestly didn't like the book, save the very odd descriptions which I felt were a very interesting outsiders view on the world, it just...I don't know. There were a lot of things about it that bothered me, namely Bethany herself. You can check out my review of it if you are really interested in what I have to say about it.
That being said, one of my closest friends absolutely loved the book, why, I'll never know. But I think this really is a love it or hate it book. There really isn't an inbetween.

the first book was okay.... not that bad.. but when i read the title of the second book and realized it was referring to hell.. that just pissed me off. Calling hell Hades would be offensive for any greek myth fan.

I loved it. I was worried because I don't like a lot of Angel books because the Angel goes around overdoing it with the whole like converting people thing. But in this book it was more about love and friends and stuff so I liked it. Xavier was really sweet!

Loved it! Never felt so much dread while readin a book. I felt like Beth would be sent back every time i started a new chapter

i dont think i like it im not to far into it and im not really enjoying it. does it get better? i am seriously debating to stop reading it because i dont like it that much.

I liked it. The story is quite simple and I am not emotionally involved. It was simple up to the half of the book and the tense was increasing after that, after Jake appeared. I will absolutely read Hades.
