The longer I am on GoodReads, the more things I learn; the more things I learn, the better I can get things out here to help you guys!!

I'm sure many of you reviewers out there have seen the "tags" they ask us to put on our reviews when we post them, these tags are very important. The more of the same type of tag a book has, the higher it will be placed on the list when someone uses that particular tag to search for a book.

For example, someone types in "Teen YA Paranormal", a book that has 1000 tags with this description will be much higher on the list than someone who has 60 tags that say "Teen YA Paranormal".

What I want to do in this thread is to have you guys post your book here, your link to Amazon, and the tags that you have added for your book. Then we can all click on your book and mark the tags you have for your book, helping the visibility.

Please NO CHATTING on this thread at all, so the books do not get lost in the conversations. I will move any conversation out into the "attic". I want everyone to be able to have their book seen and tagged!

Not sure if everyone knows this, but the quickest way is to click on the amazon link, then hit the T key on your keyboard twice fast. A box pops up where you can copy & paste the tags from here into the box. You can use 15 tags. Here are mine. I posted links to the paperback and the kindle. The tags work for both:

OK, I saw a very interesting blog post about tagging and liking and whether it does anything to boost your ratings by an employee of Amazon (short answer was 'no'). But food for thought...

And of course, I can't find the link so can't share! Ach! But trust me, I read it! When I find it I'll post.

I feel like it should be helpful in some way? It shouldn't affect rantings, just genre placement? I'm happy to tag things.

I agree...I continue to play the game anyway! From what I remember of the post, the like feature doesn't increase your exposure, it just looks good when people are viewing your book. The tagging is linked to a very specific search function, which most people don't use. However, I have heard people say that tagging does up their rating/sales, so who knows?
