I saw it. It was crazy!!

I'm glad I DVRed it so that I can go back and watch it. I found some parts a little confusing, but part of that is because if the actors speak quickly I don't catch what they're saying. I can't caption any BBC programs.

I saw it! It was AMAZING! I can't wait for part 2 :D

I KNOW IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I recorded it on my vcr but it cut off the last minute so I bought it on itunes and then I saw River say "I'm your daughter" and it was over but it was totally worth $4 lol now I can watch it again and again ;)

Have you also watched the commentary shows? "Doctor Who Confidential", etc.? BBC is really promoting the show to US.

David Tennant will still be my favorite Doctor but Matt is very very good. He combines the playfulness of the Doctor and his youth becomes and advantage.
What I want to do is find the Silence in the Library episode which I think is the first time we met River Song. I know that they are trying to connect her from DT's last season and the Matt Smith episodes.

I loved it! I've been watching it over and over again. Have to wait till Fall for more though...torture.

That's exactly how I feel. I wasn't sure through most of season 5, but now I really like the 11th doctor. Still the 10th is my favorite.

Saw it. I liked it, except I don't like the River Song Revelation. A few folks around here (on GoodReads not sure if it was this group or another one, there are 3 or 4 Doctor Who groups here at least) saw it coming and called it but I didn't want to believe it. I still don't like that little bit of the Cannon but it is now there.

I don't know...I expected River Song to be Amys daughter....but I didn't want it that way.
But it was still cool the way they did it.

speculation: assuming that it is River Song who killed the Doctor in the first episode of this season, Why did she have to do it? What was it do you think she had to stop him from doing? And who is the woman who embroidered River Song's name on the cloth and seemed so important to the Doctor and this plot? Did I miss its revelation?

I don't think you missed who she was. I don't know either. Whoever she is, she was in the gamma forests.

Is that where the Doctor was going to at the end of the episode?

I'll have to go back and check on what the
Gamma Forest is. And where it was mentioned. Was it the forest they went through in part of Weeping Angels?

Just had a thought (actually this thought occurred to me during the wait between "The Rebel Flesh" and "The Almost People") River (or whoever was the Astronaut) killed the Doctor's ganger. After watching The Rebel Flesh that doesn't seem too be possible even though the Doctor's ganger said something that sounded like he would find a way to return if he and Cleaves were also killed while sonicing the Jennifer Monster.

That episode was crazy...it's confusing me too.

Well, if she was taken away as a baby, then maybe she was trained as a child to kill the doctor...? That could make sense because the person in the space suit was a child! She would know that the Doctor's the good guy if she spends all her life with those EVILLLL people.

I saw TORCHWOOD. Loved it. Maybe we need a new thread for Torchwood discussions. If there isn't one already I'll try to start one.

They are anagrams for each other yes.
The reason for that is that for Season 1 of Doctor Who (2005) when they were in production of the first few episodes to keep from having the tapes intercepted or production interrupted the producer used the anagram "Torchwood" on the tape labels. At the time nobody would know or care what Torchwood was.

Apparently because of all the secrecy and stuff when Karen Gillan was auditioning to be a companion the audition was called 'Panic Moon' which is an anagram of companion :)

I loved that episode! mostly because of Rory, he handled himself very well. River being their daughter was a shock because she never really treated Rory and Amy differently like she knew something they didn't. Cant wait to see the next episode!

Now it's has become awkward for me because, being a dedicated whovian, I have a poster on my bedroom wall of the Doctor, Amy, River and Rory, and people who don't watch the show always ask me who are the people on the poster and it is sorta hard to explain that the oldest person in the picture is the youngest one's daughter. ARRGGH! WIBBLY WOBBLY!

LOL i have a DW calandar and a dalek poster!!thankfully they have heard enough rants from me to understand!

If you're lucky it will be August/September :) US and UK getting the half-series starting on August 27, most likely Aus one week later, and NZ in late September/ early October.
