Super 8 RP discussion

((Here's where the train is going to crash, it hasn't crashed yet. But it very much will. ;D))

Cary and Julie made it to the train station, practically curled up in one another's arms. They were talking and laughing.

Alice arrived, and scanned the area for Joe. Her heart sank when she couldn't find him.

Charles arrived holding the video camera.

Joe showed up shortly after Charles. "Sorry I'm late!" He shouted, coming up the steps. "I had to find my make up kit." Then he saw Alice, and blushed.

((Hehe, nice to meet you Ms. Joe Lamb. You put "Sorry I'm late!" She shouted, coming up the steps.))

Alice grinned at Joe. YES! she thought, wnating to pump her fist in the air.

Charles grinned. "Alice? Can you be the wife? And Joe-makeup/lighting. Julie?"

Alice interrupted. "Veronica is doing it with us. She's coming."

"Veronica who?" Charles asked.

"Veronica Hill," Julie said, remembering her from the Pizza joint. "I'll do stuff in the background, make it look busy."

Charles nodded. "Okay. She will be with you, doing whatever. And speaking of whatever, where are Preston and Martin?"

Alice shrugged. "Haven't seen 'em all day."

"Maybe Martin threw up again." Joe said, laughing. Cary and Julie laughed along with him.

Charles frowned. "But we need him for the movie!!!! Both of them!" He looked at his hand and started counting fingers. "We only have 6, including me and Joe. Umm, Alice, without Martin and Preston, Daniel will have to be your husband."

Julie bit her lip. "Aww, poor Veronica. Those guys are nutter butters for eachother."

"But Joe is--" Cary began. Julie nudged him in the stomach, and Joe silently thanked her for that.

Joe looked up. "I'll try calling them again."

((Should we do what we did with Charles and Joe with Preston and Martin?))

((I dunno, maybe. . . and that was my goal. . . *grins evilly*))

Alice nodded, but inside she was screaming. "Why not Veronica be lead?" she asked hopeful.

Charles shook his head. "Nope. Don't know her enough.

Daniel started coming around the corner.

Veronica was trailing along beside Daniel. "Hi..." She said, shyly.

Joe was at the pay phone, calling Preston and Martin. Neither answered.

After Joe was finished calling, Julie shoved him aside and was pretending to be talking on the phone, making the joint look busy.

Charles grinned at Veronica, then frowned and cursed under his breath. Of course, I like a girl whom my best friend likes. And that girl likes him back! But Daniel walks around town, bumps into a hot girl and already has a huge crush on someone who obviously liked him back. Great, with Daniel as the lead male. . .a kiss! he thought happily I should make the leads kiss!. "Change of plans, slight. Daniel, you are the lead male, and Alice, lead female. Joe get make-up on them please. The leads, I have decided will kiss. I want a big, romantic kiss." Charles grinned evilly.

Daniel and Alice looked at Charles, jaw open. "Nuh-uh!" Alice said, "Please, Charles, no kiss."

Daniel nodded and breifly gazed at Veronica before going to Joe for make-up. Alice followed Daniel and glared at him.

Charles continued as if Alice hadn't spoken. "Veronica, get in the back with Julie. Make the place look busy!" he snapped.

Veronica sighed, and was a bit dissapointed. Julie, on the other hand, was a bit jealous that Cary was the only guy who saw Julie as a God damn girl. She sighed, then turned to Veronica, and smiled. "Come on, it'll be fine," Julie assured her.
Veronica nodded reluctantly and followed Julie to the back of the station porch. They stood there and lipped a conversation.

Cary put the film in the camera.

Daniel looked wistfully at Veronica, then under his breath cursed out Charles. Before any make-up was put on him, he walked over to Julie and asked her to take care of Veronica.

Alice sighed, but stayed still for the make-up. Joe should be the lead male she thought angrilly Why the hell would God give him a pretty darn great painting talent?

Charles thanked Cary and yelled at Joe to do make-up faster.

Julie nodded at Daniel, and smiled. The guy derserved Veronica. They were a match made in heaven.

Joe smiled at Alice. "Um... can you close your eyes for me, please?"

Cary then lit up a firecracker. It caused a huge, very noticable explosion. It boomed and fizzled. Pewwwwwwwww! *crackle*crackle* Cary smiled at it in awe. "Dude... that was awesome!!!"

Julie and Veronica laughed.

Daniel couldn't help but crack up.

Alice nodded slowly and closed her eyes, keeping as still and quiet as she could.

Charles glared at Julie, Veronica, Cary and Daniel. "No goofing off!" he exclaimed.

Joe finished up the make-up, and smiled at his work. "Okay, it's done." He said, calmly, not noticing that Julie, Veronica, and Cary were still cracking up over the firework.

Julie smiled at Cary, still laughing a bit. "Here, gimme your lighter. It may lower Charles' risk of getting a heart attack," She said, extending her hand. Veronica laughed at the joke as Cary put the lighter in Julie's hand. He knew he had it in the right hands. She put the lighter in her pocket.

Alice smiled, then burrowed her eyebrows. "How should I act? I mean what should I do? Any tips?"

Charles walked over to Julie. "Gimme the lighter." he barked. "NOW! And DANIEL--MAKE-UP, NOW!"

Daniel nodded and walked over to Alice and Joe, smirking.

Joe smiled at Alice. "Just act like... like there's this guy, that you've loved for years, and he's about to go off and die." Then he turned around, to Charles' shouting. "It's almost done!" He replied, as Daniel walked up. "Hey, Daniel." Joe said, starting to put makeup on him.

Alice nodded, thinking, wishing Joe should be next to me, kissing me, instead of Daniel. Or Veronica plays the lead female instead of me. It's just not fair! Alice threw up her hands and sighed.

Charles nodded at Joe. "Good. I want it done in oh, 10 minutes at most. Understand?" He sighed.

Daniel sat down for Joe. "What should I do?"

Joe nodded at Charles, then looked over at Daniel. "Well, you're trying to convince the woman you love that everything's alright, and that she needs to go to Michigan." He said, putting a hint of makeup on his face.

Daniel frowned. "That ain't gonna be easy. . . ." his voice trailed off and mouthed 'sorry' to Alice.

Alice nodded, watching Joe's movement, and Daniel's face become almost realistic. She wondered how her face looked.

Charles looked at his watch and screamed "5 minutes left Joe!"

Joe finished up them makeup. "All done!" He shouted to Charles.

Cary rushed to get the camera completely ready.

Julie and Veronica resumed practicing their pretend conversation.

Charles followed Cary, watching him like a hawk, only to lose focus when he nodded to Joe. "Great, yah whatever, sure. Cary, be careful with the camera. Film in?"

Daniel watched Veronica practicing her lines and a half smile played on his lips and his eyes started shining.

Alice was watching Joe the same way Daniel was watching Veronica. But Alice didn't make her's as obvious.

"I'm careful, Mom." Cary teased Charles. "It's all set."

Julie laughed at Cary's remark, and watched him the same way Daneil was watching Veronica for a moment. Then she looked up at Veronica, whispered something into her ear, and the two girls started laughing.

Joe turned to Alice, watching her, and meeting her eyes for a moment. He felt his face go warm, meeting her eyes like that, and realized he was blushing.

Charles walked over to Cary, and started to slap him. "Want me to?" he threatend. Charles and Daniel looked at Julie and Veronica.

"WHAT?" Daniel demanded, walking over to Veronica. "What?!"

Alice cracked a very small smile at Joe blushing, then she started blushing and quickly looked away before Joe could tell.

Cary held his hands up in the universal 'Woah-Nelly' gesture. He had to bite his lip to keep from laughing.

Veronica and Julie weren't paying attention to Charles, more to Daniel. "It's nothing," Julie said, grinning.
"Yeah, we'll..." Veronica said, still laughing, and not able to finish her sentence because of it.
"We'll tell you later." Julie said, finishing Veronica's sentence for her.

Joe looked down at his feet. He swore he could've seen some blush on her face, but it might've just been from the make-up or something... Why would Alice Dainard ever want him?

Charles backed off Cary and looked around. "Julie? Veronica? You practicing?" Charles dug around in a duffel bag he had brought and pulled out a few sheets of paper. He handed them to everyone. "Alice, read the part where it says: 'wife'. Daniel, 'husband'. Cary? What are you going to do again? Let's see if you remember. Julie and Veronica, just wing it, kay?" Charles waited for Cary's answer.

Daniel looked at Veronica and Julie, shook his head and took the paper from Charles, looking over his lines. "Kay, this looks easy." Daniel looked at his lines and at Alice.

Alice blushed harder when Daniel started looking at her. "Stop!" she told herself fiercly. "Joe would never want me. Joe could never want me. And stop! Don't cry or you'll smudge the make-up. But then Joe would have to re-apply it. But then he would have to ask me why my make-up is smudged, or he'd start to like me, my dad would never allow!" Alice murmered under her breath. She took the lines from Charles, and looked at them. "Kay," she said aloud, "I can do this"

Julie and Veronica nodded at Charles.

"I'm supposed to stay quiet and watch through the lens, to make sure everything is filming alright," Cary answered. He actually forgot, but as hoping that was the right answer.

Joe grabbed his make-up kit and got next to Cary, out of the camera's view.

Charles nodded at Cary. "Good, but what else can you do?" Charles grinned expectantly.

Daniel watched Veronica, but his mind was racing through the script. "Honey, you need to go to Michigan. I will meet up with you." ((Sorry, can't remember how close that is. . .))

Alice nodded as Daniel was reading, then opened her mouth to speak and quickly shut it.

Cary stopped there. He wasn't sure what to say next. Joe looked over at him, laughing a bit.

Veronica whispered something in Julie's ear, and they both toppled over laughing again.

Daniel looked at Veronica, interrupting his rehearsing. Daniel's eyes were full of hurt, and he blinked away tears and turned away.

Charles smiled at Cary, "You can play an extra! Okay? Do you know if you are doing anything else?"

Alice was silent, and she was pacing back and forth.

((Awww. XD Poor Dan. Veronica and Julie are over there making jokes about Charles.))

Cary shook his head, now staring over at Julie.

Joe looked at Cary. Damn, talk about love struck... He thought. Then he realized that he shouldn't be talking, he was love struck with Alice.

Veronica walked over to Daniel. "Daniel, is everything alright?" She asked him.

Charles glared at everyone. "Are you ready? Have you practced?" He opened his mouth to say, but didn't. There was drama

Alice padded silently around everyone. She glanced up at Joe out of the corner of his eye. He looked different. What was wrong with him? Alice lowered her head and continued walking.

Daniel nodded, not looking at Veronica. "Yah, fine, why?" He looked down.

Julie was drawing something on her hand with a pen, when she said "I'm ready!"

Joe and Cary checked once more to make sure the film was in the camera. Joe looked up at Alice. Both his and Alice's father would kill him if they found out how Joe felt about Alice...

Veronica still looked at him, worried. She was not going to screw this up on the first day. "Daniel, something's wrong. I can just... tell. What's the matter?"

Charles looked up. "Kay, Julie's ready, anyone else?" Charles yawned. "Hurry it up people!"

Alice tried to stop looking at Joe. Alice walked over to the pay phone, put in 2 quarters, and called home. After 10 beeps, no answer. She left a message for her dad, and hung up the phone.

Daniel shook his head at Veronica. "Nothing. Nothing's wrong!" he lied, blinking away tears.

Joe spoke up. "We're ready," He said, Cary nodding along.

Veronica frowned. She felt horrible now. "I'm sorry, but we can't tell you what we're laughing about now-- Charles might hear. We've sort of got an inside joke."

Alice nodded. "Ready. Sorry, but yah, I am ready now." ((Umm, I can't remember all her lines for the "play"))

Charles smiled. "Veronica? Daniel? Ready?"

Daniel nodded and walked away, over to Alice. "Hey Alice, what's up?"

Alice shrugged. "Not much, why?"

Daniel smiled. "Should we practice the. . . . .kiss?"

Alice shrugged again. "I dunno."

((Ah, well, let's wing it. :D))

Veronica nodded, walkng over to Julie as she was watching Daniel. Julie held her right hand over to Veronica, showing her what she drew. "Hey, check it out, it's Gene Wilder!" Julie said, laughing, but Veronica wasn't. What was up with Daniel?

Joe felt a twinge in the bottom of his stomach, as he overheard what Daniel said.... bu they were just acting, there shouldn't be anything to worry about. He sighed. Cary was watching Charles, waiting for a cue.

Charles nodded. "Ready?" he asked, letting Daniel and Alice rush into position, "Go!"

Daniel: "Baby, please, you have to go to Michigan. Where it's safe. Please."
Alice: "Not without you. I can't leave you. Either we both go, or neither of us goes."
Daniel: "It's not safe here!"
Alice: "I don't care!" *Leans in closer to Daniel*
Daniel: *smiles.* "Come on baby. Please, go, for me."
Alice: "I will never forget you? Promise you'll come?"
Daniel: "I promise." *Leans in closer and puts hand behind Alice's head. Starts to kiss.*
Alice: *kisses back. Breaks off.* "baby, fine, I'll go."

Charles grinned. This was going perfect. The extras should come in soon.

Julie and Veronica came in the background, talking and laughing silently. Veronica was actually crushed inside, but she was able to push that aside so she could act.

Joe looked ahead for a moment, and saw a train coming. He nudged Charles and silently gestured towards the tracks.

Charles shooed Joe away. He turned away and looked where Joe was pointing. He shrugged it away.

Daniel and Alice were starting into each other's eyes. Daniel and Alice were both hurting inside.

Veronica whispered something in Julie's ear, but this time, Veronica looked hurt. Julie gave Veronica a sympathetic look.

As the train started coming around the bend, Joe nudged Charles. "Production value!" Joe hissed.

Cary kept looking through the camera. Man, they were so going to win this Super 8 Film Festival.

Daniel glanced at Veronica. What was wrong with her? They were just laughing, her and Julie, now they are. . .weirded out.

Charles gave Joe a little shrug. "It's a train. It'll make the place look busy."

Alice smiled at Daniel. "Baby? Will you come? I mean really come and not blow me off?"

Daniel sighed. "I'd never do that to you!"

Veronica and Julie's hair were whipped around by the train passing.

Joe turned while the train was passing, and saw a white truck, that seemed to be waiting for the train.

Charles followed Joe's gaze, at a bright light. Shielding his eyes, he gasped.

Daniel and Alice smiled at each other, and Daniel started to walk to the pay phone, make like he was doing something

Julie and Veronica gasped when the train wrecked. Cary turned around arubtly. "RUN!!!" He shouted, and Veronica, Julie, Cary, and Joe took off running.

Charles nodded and raced off, knocking the camera over. Charles raced to where the train was coming from

Daniel and Alice sped away, and reached a small hill nearby. They ducked behind some trees for cover.
