Broadway | 8 comments Discuss anything pertaining to the fifth warriors series here. What's you opinion of Warriors going on for another series? Are you looking forward to hearing about the early Clan days, or would you rather the fifth series be about something else? What do you want to see happen in this series?

I would say that I'm fairly glad Warriors is getting a fifth series on early Clan days. It appears OotS will be a nice finale to the plot line that's been going on for that last two (arguably three or even four) series. Perhaps this will give Warriors the fresh start it needs. I do think the quality has dropped a bit lately, but I haven't lost all hope yet. XP

Lydia (phantasea) | 4 comments I have got to agree. Lately I've been wondering why I don't enjoy the books as much, and I'd have to say--because there just isn't enough comic relief, way too much stress on romantic relationships, and the fact that when you finish the book, you feel stressed and tense. At least--I do. I got really tired of everybody in the what's-it-called series. Second one, I believe. Something about a powerful prophecy, right? Agh. I got tired of Squirrelflight (ahem, Squirrelpaw, I suppose) whining all the time. And the romantic relationships were literally unbelievable. Seriously--I didn't think that they made that much sense. So. =P I've rambled long enough.

Broadway | 8 comments The New Prophecy did wear a little thin on me. XP I thought it was okay, but I didn't enjoy the plot or the characters as much as the first series. (Though I have to say that Tawnypelt is one of my favorite characters in the series.)
What has really killed some of the enjoyment for me is the slower pace. Ever since Power of Three (And to a lesser extent TNP) the plot seems to advance much more slowly than it did in the beginning. I think Po3 could have been compressed into one or two books and we'd still get the full effect. XP

Hopefully the fifth series will introduce new, enjoyable characters and exciting plot lines. I've always been curious about the origins of the Clans, so let's hope this doesn't disappoint.

Asavari (asv-reads-books) | 1 comments I think there is little need to make a new arc in the Warriors world (super editions are fine). But I'm glad it is set in the early days of the Clan rather than continuing where we are, because the end of Omen of the Stars concludes the whole series well, and starting up from there would be bad (also ***MAJOR SPOILER*** Firestar's dead and why continue without him***END SPOILER***).

I reckon 4 arcs is already too much, 3 would be fine, but obviously the Power of Three kinda sucks without Omen of the Stars. So 5...

I don't particularly care for more info on the early days I'm satisfied with the stuff mentioned in the books, guides and websites, so I won't be reading them, but for anyone else go ahead because at least it won't scratch up well tied-off ends.
