Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry discussion

The Hufflepuff Basement is located behind a still-life portrait of a fruitbowl near the kitchens of Hogwarts Castle. A password is presumably required to enter it, which is spoken to the portrait. A hole or passage-way is behind the painting, leading to the common room, which is a room where Hufflepuff students can relax after a long day of studying. The common room is full of fat armchairs, yellow hangings, and probably a bulletin board where school notices, ads, lost posters, etc. can be posted.

Julie walked up to the outside of the common room, in front of the fruit bowl. "Boomslang," She said, and the portrait opened to reveal the common room. She took a cozy seat next to the badger fountain, and pulled out a book. She began reading.

"Boomslang," Julie said to the fruit, walked in, grabbed her scarf, and looked in the mirror. What was she to expect? Robbery? Threatening?... Flirting? She silently acted through every case scenario, so she could put her best foot forward.

Julie walked out of the dorm, and out of the common room.

Julie walks in, around 3:45. She silently creeps up the dorm.

Matthew looked up as Julie walked past. He grinned.

Julie and Matt walked down into the common room from their dorms. Matt was first. Matt plopped himself on a fat loveseat armchair in the middle of the room and waited for Julie.

Julie arrived a minute later, thinking of Greg, she was grinning, and lost in thought. She arrived and walked over to the fountain in the back.

Matt smiled at Julie and got up, moving closer to her. "Hey, whatcha thinkin bout?" He smiled shyly.

Julie didn't hear Matt-too busy with her crush.

Greg appeared, trying to look lost. "Umm, scums?" He asked, hoping Julie would forgive him. "Where AM I? I was traveling the corridors one minute, here the next." He lied. Greg had really come because he wanted to see Julie.

Matt ignored Greg. "Hi, Julie. Whatcha thinking bout?" He moved closer to Julie.

Julie backed away, and shook her head. "Nothin."

Greg cleared his throat. "Ahmm. Where am I?" he asked once more.

Matt looked up. "Hufflepuff, common room." Matt gasped. "A SLYTHERIN!"

Julie looked up at 'Slytherin' and smiled behind Matt's back.

Matt ushered Greg out, his back to Julie. "Leave, leave at once. And how'd you get in?!?! Our password!?!" Matt whirled around to Julie. "Did you tell?"

When Matt's back was turned, Greg smiled and waved to Julie, making sure no one, execpt Julie, was watching.

Julie smiled, but shook her head. "Nope. Why would I tell a Slytherin?!"

Matt frowned. "Then how'd he get in?" his eyes wide and furious, eyebrows furrowed, face red. Matt took a deep breath. "Wait, Julie, I don't mean to get mad. Forgive me? Come on. Friends? Or even more than friends?"

Behind him, Greg made a gagging motion. "Gimme a break!" he muttered, waved 'bye' to Julie, then invited himself out.

Julie smiled, as if knowing a secret ((Oh wait she does know one.)), and nodded at Matt. "Yah, friends." she said, distracted.

Matt looked at her, then figuring out she had a teensy weensy crush on someone, smiled, thinking it was him. "Julie!" he cried, running and giving her a huge bear hug.

Julie's eyes widend as she squirmed out of his grasp. "What?" she asked, suprised.

Matt grinned, a huge, wide, evil grin. "Nothing. Nothing, just nothing." And with that, Matt went up to his room. As Matt walked up, he thought, Ahh, just my luck to almost get a date with a cute one! Although, I haven't asked her yet. So, she can't say 'no' to ME.

Matt returned downstairs, bored in his room. "Julie? I have a question for you. A very important one."

Julie looked up at him. "Yeah?" She asked, confused.

Matt took a breath (("Got any sparklers?" he asked. JK!)). "Would you, like to, go out on a, date with me?" Matt smiled hopefully.

Julie sighed, wondering what to do, she was taken aback by his question. She turned to him. (("Dude, are you kidding me?!" She responded. XD!!!)) "I-- uh," She stuttered, then realized that maybe having a cover could ease up her relationship with Greg, and maybe hide it a little better. "Yeah," She said, convincingly.

Matt smiled. "Really? Is this some kind of joke?" He turned around to make sure no one was holding signs up. "Great, at noon today, it's 11:25, come to Hagrid's Hut! Kay?" Matt walked over to hug Julie.

Julie hugged him back, then remembered her date with Greg in the broom cupboard. "Umm, actually, I have to be in Flitwick's office then. Maybe at 1 o'clock?" She asked.

"Flitwick? I can talk to him. He owes me a favor anyway. I'll just bump your appointment to 1 o'clock. 'Kay?" Matt smiled.

Julie looked up at him, secretly panicking. "M-my... uh, my appendix just burst!" She said, now gripping her waist moaning in pain. Hey, it wasn't the best Get-Out-of-Jail-Free card, but it was bound to work.

"Okay. I'll take you to the infirmary. Hey, who knows, the nurse might be busy, so, our 12 o'clock date will still be on!" Matt smiled even bigger. It wouldn't be the most romantic, but still. He was determined to have a date with Julie. ((No matter what u do, he'll figure a way. :P))

Julie nodded, gripping his arm, pulling him out of the common room, still moaning.

((Ah, poor Julie and Greg. XD Shall we RP in the infirmary?))

Matt sighed, picked her up and walked to the infirmary. "Flitwick will have to wait."

Julie walked in very quickly, and walked up to her dorm, hoping that Matt hasn't woken up yet.

Greg walked in. The fruitbowl wasn't cooperative (Sp?). Looking around and not seeing Julie, he took a step up the stairs and slid down. He would have to wait til morning and quickly passed out.
The sun shone in his eyes. Blinking awake, he saw it was 6 AM. Where was Julie?

Matt came down.

Julie came out of the portrait hole. Noticing Greg on the staircase, she smiled. Then she saw Matt, remembering how she sort of ditched him. Okay, not sort of...

Matt smiled, blinking out the sun.

Greg disappeared behind the well. He peeked his head out watching Julie.

Matt grinned at Julie and raced up to her. "Icouldn'tstopthinkingaboutyoulastnight!" he rushed out. Matt gulped, his eyes twinkling. "SoIwaswonderingifyou'dliketogooutwithme?" He grinned hopefully.

Julie stood there, confused. She hadn't understood a word he'd said. "Sorry, come again?"

Taking a deep breath, Matt smiled. "I couldn't stop thinking about you last night. So, I was wondering if you'd like to go out. With me?" Matt bit his bottom lip looking hopeful.

Greg's stomach and heart plummeted. 'no' he tried to mouth to Julie. 'say no!'

Julie hadn't seen him, but was going to make some excuse not to anyway. "Ahh, umm... I can't. Olive and Oliver and I plan on... helping Filch ((assuming he's still there)) clean up a bit. The Great Hall is looking a bit... messy." She lied.

Matt smiled. "I'll help. Go wake Olive, then we'll go to Ravenclaw to wake Oliver. Kay? And, I didn't mean TODAY for our date. It can be anytime. When are you free?"

Matt grinned at Julie. "Okay, I had a plan for our date. Do you want to insult some Slytherins? I always target this one, who bullies me. His name," Matt scoffed, "Is Greg. What kind of stupid name is that?"

Julie frowned. "I'm rather fond of that name, actually. And... how about studying?"

A note arrives, for Matt, and lands on the table in the common room.

Dear my darling, it reads,
I hope you've been thinking about me. I hope you've been wondering about me since we last spoke. I hope you HAVE NOT been cheating on me. I love you. I love you very much!
XOXO, (inserting random name) Taylor <3

Julie looked over at the letter that landed on the table. She walked over to it, curiously, and picked it up. "What's this?" She said, opening it and reading it. "What's this?" She said again, faking anger, and storming out of the common room.

Matt frowned, and looked at the note. That sl*t Taylor! Grr, he gives the seventh year Gryffindor to show off in front of his friends, and this is how she repays him?!

Julie stood just outside of the common room, waiting to find Greg.

Matt started a letter. Dearest Julie, love,
It would be my honor if I could escort you to the dance? Is that acceptable. Please respond as quick as possible. And start picking out your costume.

P.S. that letter was a fake, a fraud. It wasn't meant for me.

He handed it to a random owl and whispered. "Find Julie"

The owl cawed and went to the broom closet.

Matt raced off, looking for Julie. He ended up near the Slytherin Common Room.
