Isabel looked to make sure nobody was watching. She pulled off her jacket, and flexed her wings. She took a running start, and leaped off into the sky.

Atlantis, invisible, watched Isabel escape from the School. They were really slacking on their security.

Isabel flew for the first time. This is cool, she thought. I wish I could have done this before.

Isabel flew for a while, then landed. Her stomach growled. Shoot. I forgot to bring food.

Isabel walked over to the nearest McDonalds, hiding her wings with a jacket. She was glad that she had stolen the credit cards of people at the School. She walked in. "A big mac please." Isabel knew that other mutants ate a lot- three times more than the usual human. Isabel was different. She didn't need the constant supply of food as much. Isabel payed with the credit card, and waited for her food. She got it, and chowed down. When she was done, she walked out the door. Whew. Can't believe I did that without being detected.

Isabel leaped into the air, and decided to find a place to rest. She flew for a couple of miles, when she heard something behind her. Flying Erasers.

Isabel flew fast, and hard, thinking about whether to fight or fly away. She knew she was faster... but the Erasers were perservering. Best to kill them now.

Isabel turned on the first Eraser. She was lucky. Only 3 of them. She used a trick she had overheard, and clapped her hands on one's ears. It fell to the ground, wailing. Suddenly, something thudded into her back. An Eraser had kicked her. Isabel fell a few feet, then whirled around, and clapped her hands over it's ears. It fell, also. Isabel turned to the last Eraser. She clapped her hands over it's ears, but while she was doing that, it gave her a solid kick in the stomach. As they both fell, Isabel angled her fall away from it. She didn't want it next to her. Isabel hit the ground with a thud.

Lyss flew over the trees it had been a month since she had escaped but it still seemed as though she was being followed.

Atlantis swooped lazily over Isabel. She was having fun.

Nathan and Marcia - since Marcia couldn't fly, unfortunately - walked through the city, wishing they could find some kind of food that they could afford. Marcia was stubborn about stuff like that... like she was about most things.
"Oh my God, are you okay?" Nathan asked the girl who had just fallen to the ground. She had wings, so he picked her up and carried her into a public bathroom, not looking at whether he went into the boy's or girl's... it was empty anyway. Marcia followed, looking sullen as alway. "What happened?" he asked her.

Isabel groaned. Her eyelids fluttered, and she blacked out.

Marcia groaned. "Great, you knocked out another girl," she joked, filling her hands with water from one of the sinks and splashing the girl.
"Wake up!" Nathan urged, shaking her gently. "What should we do?"
"I don't know, leave her here."
"But she's obviously from-"
"I know where she's from! Let's just hide her wings and get somewhere more comfortable than this."
"Okay, okay. You give her your jacket, because you don't have wings."
"Fine," Marcia snapped, pulling off her black and green hoodie. Nathan pretended not to notice how tight her shirt was, how good it looked on her, or how good she looked in general. Which was very.
He picked up the girl again, pulled her into a piggyback position - carefully avoiding his wings - and they set off.

Isabel distantly felt herself being lifted into piggyback position, but it felt so far away. She felt blood trickle down her forhead, but that also didn't feel real.

"Shoot, she's bleeding. We'd better hurry up." Nathan carried her into a random hotel while Marcia went to talk to the desk guy. He got in the elevator and waited.
"We're in," Marcia informed him. "I asked him if we could have another room key for room 439, our parents had lost theirs."
"What if someone's in there?"
"There isn't, I checked his chart."
"What if he notices?"
"He's about to go on break, he won't figure it out before then, and he won't remember afterwards."
"How do you know he's going to go on break?"
"He was holding a pack of cigarettes in one hand, which are against the rules inside of the building, so he is about to go outside to smoke."
"Makes sense, as usual." Nathan nodded and watched the elevator doors open to floor 4.
"Have faith in me. I didn't make it all the way through life without picking up on a few things." Marcia looked straight ahead, as she always did. Nathan was full of such respect he couldn't talk as she found, opened, and entered their new hotel room.

Isabel felt herself being laid down on a bed. She groaned, and opened her eyes slowly. Her head hurt. Her leg hurt. Her arm hurt. Everything hurt.

"Please be okay," Nathan muttered, leaning over Isabel.

Isabel stretched, and almost cried out in pain. But she forced herself to sit up, and look around. "What's going on?" she croaked.

"Lie back down," Nathan said quietly, putting a hand to her forehead. "How do you feel? Besides pain."

Isabel forced a laugh. "Besides pain? Well, besides that, fine. But pain really is an important factor." She glanced around the room, taking it in with her super-senses. "You never answered my question."

"You fell from the sky, Nathan's a softie and saved you, blah blah blah." Marcia looked over from the sofa.
"Well, do you have a headache? Stomachache? Are you hungry? Thirsty?" Nathan ignored Marcia.

Isabel stomach growled. She grinned. "I think you can guess. Where's the food?" She hopped from the bed, and stumbled, but managed to keep her balence. "So...who are you guys?"

Marcia stroked her tail, twirling it around with one hand. "Mutants like you."
Nathan nodded and opened the fridge. "Hmm... we have to pay for everything. Marcia?"
"Don't pull it out yet, let me do it." She pushed herself up from the couch and pulled food out of the fridge, keeping the spots open with her fingers. "Hand me tissues or paper towels."
Nathan did as was told and she fixed it up. "There, no problem. Fooled the mechanism." She tossed the food to Isabel and Nathan. "Have fun. I'm gonna take a nap."
"Don't mind her, she's too smart for her own good," Nathan whispered to Isabel.

Dodger made a sharp turn and began to plummet to the hard earth below him. He turned his head to make sure his flock was following him. They were. Cassidy and Piper were so busy playing Miss Mary Mack while flying they hardly noticed the change of direction. Dodger stopped flapping for a moment, just long enough for the twins to catch up with him. Cassidy clapped her hands and hit Dodger's shoulder. "Hey!" she cried. "You're in the middle of our game!" Dodger laughed softly. "Sorry." he said. "Just wanted to tell you that we're going to land in the Big Pine in Taylor Park."

Piper nodded happily, while Cassidy frowned. "Oh, why do we have to sleep there? The needles are ichy, the pinecones are sharp, and the branches are flimsy. Can't we sleep in the little oak? It's sooo much more comfortable." Dodger shook his head. "Nope. It's not tall enough. Any person on the ground can look up and see us clearly." Cassidy sighed. "Please?" Dodger was getting tired of this. "Maybe we should just fly back to the School, huh? Those kitty carriers are nice and toasty warm." Cassidy was quiet.

Marcia glanced at Isabel. "Are you with or against the school?"

"Cassy," Piper whispered. "It doesn't matter where we sleep. At least we're free." Everyone's minds wandered back to the School. They had just escaped from the nightmarish building less than two weeks ago. It had been difficult, but the whole flock made it out-except for Chole. The youngest member was still trapped in a dog crate. "We're going back for her, right?" Cassidy asked fearfully. Dodger, choking back emotion, said "Yeah. Really soon. I promise." They drifted into the pinetree. Cassidy and Piper found two branches close together and draped themselves across them. Dodger sat on a branch right above them. His thoughts were racing. before she fell asleep, Piper poked her head up and said softly to Dodger "It's okay. We'll get her. Chole's tough. She'll make it."

Dodger woke up the next day. He looked aroung and relized he had slept much later than he had wanted to. Taylor Park was flooded with people. Kids were playing tag, adults were walking dogs, and teenagers covered the basketball courts. Dodger checked to make sure his wings were tucked into his sweatshirt. He looked down at the twins. Both of them had their wings folded neatly behind them. Good, Dodger thought. The last thing we need is to see our wings. With any luck, we can get down from here without anyone seeing- "Mommy! Look! There's people in that BIG tree!"

A crowd gathered around the tree. Piper and Cassidy were wide awake now; their eyes were darting in every direction. A little boy was pointing at Dodger and shouting "Look Mommy! A bum! A real live bum, Mom!" The mother pulled him back. "Not so close, Ethan. You didn't get your flu shot yet." "What, you never saw a person climb a tree before?" Cassidy asked, insulted. A man in the back of the group yelled "You didn't climb that tree." "That's for sure!" Someone else called while a few people shook their heads in a agreement. "What makes you say that?" Piper asked as loudly as she could, which was just about a normal conversational voice. "Uh, Piper?" Dodger pointed down. They were over twenty feet off the ground.

Isabel rolled her eyes at Marcia. "After what they did to us- you bet."

((Oh, GREAT idea! Maybe Isabel could've been part of the flock with Dodger also, but they got seperated by the Erasers!!!!!))

Cassidy looked scared. "What do we do?"

Marcia nodded, pleased. "Good." She yawned hugely and stretched, reminding Nathan of a cat - as usual. "I'm gonna take a nap... it's nap time... don't kill anybody..."
Nathan rolled his eyes as she began breathing evenly. "Sorry about her. She's... harsh."

Lyss flew over a mountain looking for some thing to do

victoria became invisible and started 2 crawl out of the school

Isabel looked at Marcia. "I can see that." She turned to Nathan. "So... what're you doing here? When'd you escape? Just...talk."
