Dawn walked in and set down her stuff, "and now to plan my next prank."

Peter stole her stuff and grabbed a cupcake out of it."nice to meet you."he gave the bag back.

Lauren walked into the room quietly.
She dumped her bag onto the floor and glanced to a bunk.
"Is this bunk taken?"
She asked.

"nope."

"Cool."
She said,she dumped her bag onto the bunk and left right after.

"I am here, I have no cabin, so I'm in the Hermes cabin. I hope you will accept me" Fener, son of Tartarus said, walking in. "No one seems to want to make a Tartarus cabin."

Just then, leah bursted i. "Im not in this cabin but i was bored so-"she stopped in midsentence noticing a kid that was unfamiliar. "hey are you new?" She asked him

"I am Fener, son of Tartarus."

Who is your parent?

"You mean the spirit?" leah asked "sweet! Im leah daughter of calypso"

"I heard she was trapped. How did she have a kid?"

"Mom won't say how Tartarus came to her, probably because she died of birth having me." Fener said, his face empty of emotion.

Leah had thought about that too "i honestly have no clue. Maybe some dude got trapped on the same island." She shrugged "the gods hate me for being calypso's daughter sort of. Plus atlas is my grandpa" she pointed out

Fener's humorless face finally smiled. "The gods aren't big on a son of Tartarus, either."

Fener's face retained its expressionless look.

"Yeah, I can imagine. But its not like we can chose our parents so whatever" lightning flared in the background and leah rolled her eyes good naturdly

Fener looked through the window up at the sky. "Wonder how they'll kill us."

Leah shivered a little. "Whats waird is i cant hurt anything. I mean, my weapons a butter knife for crying out loud!"

"My weapon is a sword and I can't hurt anyone. Only monsters. Tartarus can't effect the outside world much besides monsters, and niether can I."

"Doesnt that technicly mean tartarus is good because he only basically kills monsters?" Leah asked

"He isn't bad, if that's what you think. He's niether, really. He doesn't kill the monsters, he tortures them after they die. He gave birth to the giants, and he's messed up enough to love Gaia, who conspired the death of her first husband and sent out Typhon to take Zues's senews. I'd say that's good reason to hate me. At least, It's good enough for the Olympians."

Fener's face showed nothing as he said this (how different he is from Maniac)

"I think tartarus is ok. I mean it could be worse. I get why the gods dont like him, i mean the gods stranded my mom on an island for the past millinium just because she helped her dad. I dont get why they hate us though" she motioned to herself and fener "What did we even do?"

Fener had to chuckle at that. "Have the imortals ever needed us to do something to get on their bad side? Cronus eating his kids, Zues Killing Maria di Angelo, etcetera."

"Good point" she paused thinking of the sad things that hapoened and then told him "I feel like something bad might hapoen" (im foreshadowing for quest)

"We're half-bloods. something bad always happens" Fener said, nothing revealed on his face.

Fener continued looking out the window, as if looking for their future deaths there.

"Yeah, true" ,leah said and wondered if fener had had a bad past or if he was always hiding his emotions

"You ok fener?" she asked thinking he was lost in thought.

She waved a hand in front of his face. "Wahoo? You look like your planning out death beds"

Not being able get his attention, she shrugged and returned to the forest

Fener looked after her, for the first time his face clouded with revelation. And no one was there to see it.

Leah burst through the door worridly. And then she saw that fener ws slightly calmer. "Oh uh hi" she said. She glanced at the door and realized she had ran so hard it had broken. "Ill fix that later, but are you okay?"

Fener looked at her and said, "Why wouldn't I be?" But for the first time, his titanium face crumbled and did not reassemble.

Leah didnt mention how he had run away erlier. She noticed his gaurd was down, at least partly. She scanned his face with her eyes, trying to figure out what was wrong.

Fener gave in. "Remember when I told you that my mother died of childbirth?" He asked.

She nodded "yeah, of corse"

"That wasn't true. It really happened when I was seven. The Olympians killed her. It was because of me."

"One month after, I was in this...team...of demigods who were outside of camp half-blood, like annabeth and Luke and Thalia, and the olympians, thay were trying to kill me, but I felt the danger and avoided it. My friends didn't. They died. All because of me."

"No, its not your fault" she said reassuringly "just tell me what happened"
((DARN I ALWAYS HAVE TO LEAVE AT THE MOST IMPORTANT PARTS! I WILL SNEAK ON AT SOME POINT!!!)

"Then, I decided not to reveal, or even feel, any connections of friendship, or-or love. My world has been torn apart by them, Leah. And if I hadn't been born, every one of them would still be alive," Fener said, staring at her, his face contorted with pain and loss.

Leah looked at him with understanding. She knew he blamed himself but it wasnt his fault. "Look, im not going to lie, i cant say ive really lost anyone in my life. I cant say i have gone through what youve gone through. Its not your fault. And when you went in the river of styx, you must of had something to keep you feeling mortal. That proves that maybe, you you can be put together again" she said and smiled, hoping he could someday soon smile back.

He looked at her. "I did have something to connect me," He said, with nothing blocking the emotion in his voice.

He looked down and tried to resummon his expressionless expression, and succeeded for about a second before it fell again.

She smiled. "See? Theres hope here! Just, keep in touch with whatever you connected to"
