Have you read any good books about angels?

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 143 comments Angels' Blood is good, but it's not the traditional sort of angel storyline.

Thanks for the info Amanda. I didn't know that there were angels in Wayward Son, I thought it was just an archaeological adventure story. I only just saw this book today on your shelves and added it to my "to read" shelf. It sounds like a great story!

I read Angelology a little while ago. It was quite good - I liked that it had some substance to support the story even if the historical references were a bit tenuous.

Obviously I don't want to spoil but would love to discuss when you're into it. I hope you enjoy it.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 143 comments Jennifer, glad you liked Angelology. I will start a thread for it when I get started reading it.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ There is the Personal Demons series by Lisa Desrochers. This series has demons and angels.

The first book:
Personal Demons (Personal Demons, #1) by Lisa Desrochers (already out)

The second book:
Original Sin (Personal Demons, #2) by Lisa Desrochers (Releases July 5th, 2011)

The third book:
Untitled (Personal Demons, #3) by Lisa Desrochers (Releases May 2012)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 143 comments I'm listening to Angelology on audio cd right now. It's a bit dry, but I'd recommend it to all angel fiction fans. Pretty interesting ideas.

Amy (fantasydream3) | 1 comments Nalini Singh recommended this book to me when I mentioned I love stories about angels: Archangel (Samaria, #1) by Sharon Shinn . I haven't read it yet, but it's definitely on my tbr list. Nalini Singh, Sharon Shinn, Meljean Brook and Ilona Andrews also have an anthology about angels coming out this October: Angels of Darkness (Guild Hunter, #4.5, Guardians, #7.5) by Ilona Andrews

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 143 comments Amy that anthology is already on my wishlist. I haven't read Shinn yet, but I am huge fans of Singh and Andrews!

I just finished Angelology (Angelology #1) by Danielle Trussoni was ver good once you got all the info in

Dragonflydreamer68 I havent actually read this one yet, but the author is really good, so I think this one will be too.

Angels of Destruction, opens on a winter’s night, when a young girl appears at the home of Mrs. Margaret Quinn, a widow who lives alone. A decade earlier, she had lost her only child, Erica, who fled with her high school sweetheart to join a radical student group known as the Angels of Destruction. Before Margaret answers the knock in the dark hours, she whispers a prayer and then makes her visitor welcome at the door.

The girl, who claims to be nine years old and an orphan with no place to go, beguiles Margaret, offering some solace, some compensation, for the woman’s loss. Together, they hatch a plan to pass her off as her newly found granddaughter, Norah Quinn, and enlist Sean Fallon, a classmate and heartbroken boy, to guide her into the school and town.

Their conspiracy is vulnerable not only to those children and neighbors intrigued by Norah’s mysterious and magical qualities but by a lone figure shadowing the girl who threatens to reveal the child’s true identity and her purpose in Margaret’s life. Who are these strangers really? And what is their connection to the past, the Angels, and the long-missing daughter?

Angels of Destruction is an unforgettable story of hope and fear, heartache and redemption. The saga of the Quinn family unfolds against an America wracked by change. As it delicately dances on the line between the real and the imagined, this mesmerizing new novel confirms Keith Donohue’s standing as one of our most inspiring and inventive novelists.

Angel Burn by L.A. Weatherly? That book was amazing! I liked the author's take on angels.

Amy I had a hard time getting the idea of angels as the bad guy in Angel Burn. But I"ll read the others in the series.

There's a second book to Angelology?

Hey Amy, I started reading Angelfire and then I had to move so the book was returned to the library and I forgot about it. I'll have to remember to read it again. Let us know what you think when you're done.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ I did not know this series has angels in it, still need to read this series. In my opinion, I like the US covers more than the UK covers.

The demon trapper's series? I was looking under genre on the second book and I saw angels. Plus, I see that some people have put these books under the shelf label "angels"
