Yes, but a limit would make things complicated, and separate ages same + "unfair". Besides, 25 is around the time it stops being harmful. Yes, people drink under the limit, but it's harder to do (not to mention more of a privelage.)
Okay, I will make a vow now and never break it. I will never, ever drink any form of alcohol ever, as long as I have control over it. Ive seen what its done to people, and its really scary....and...just...wow..
Okay, we'll see how that goes. Then again, I'm one to talk, I swore to eternal virginity 6 years ago (but haven't broken my vow, either.)
Yeah...it just...hit home a couple of times....and it was terrible....alcohol is dumb anyways. I can find other things that make me happy....
or....MATT AND KIM!!!! Or....SHOPPING!!!!!!! Yes....and food...
I know...when I take communion, i always skip wine...or else ill like throw up...
I sometimes take a sip.........
Catholic.... some just give out grape juice and some give out both.....
OH.... cool.... my mom was before she switched to christan.... my aunts and cuzins all r lutheran so ive been to masses.... we r basically the same....
Pretty much!!! I just say that I am because you know, I go to a Lutheran church and I was baptized (sp?) in one too...
U can convert..... i forget... do lutheran believe that jesus is the body of christ?
Oh.... sorry.... but yet it still sorta is..... i mean its a debat... it can go anywhere!
Um, yeah I guess.....its pretty much christian...just...Luther broke away fom the Catholic churchto form his own, the Lutheran church....its exactly like christianity...
Yeah.. ik.... cuz my fam.... what is the difference?
Idk, but Catholic, I dont think I could be catholic....Dont ask me why...I once went to a first communion thing for my friend, and hes catholic, and omg...It just...everything they said, It made me feel guilty...like, just a guilt trip....sorry to those who asre Catholic, and I totally respect it, its just...I like who I am. And I proud to be what I am...
Its cool.... no one is perfect and there r alot of rules for catholicism..
yeah...I couldn't...sorry...if I had to be any other religion id want to be buddhist....and I do believe in reencarnation (sp?)....I think I was napoleon in my past life...
I think the rencarrnation (?) is weird but thats me.... cuz like catholics believe that we go to heaven (r souls.) so..... thats neat!
I just think we were born again, but we dont remember our passed lives...I totally think I was Napoleon or Harry Houdini in my past life...
Of course alcohol is fake happy... it's a depressant! The drinking age should be 100. Alcohol does more damage around the world than Cocaine.
Yeah, but anything in moderation isn't bad technically. It's what happens when you go over the limit with certain substances. If you have too much sugar you're not going not going to accidentally hit the family of four on your way home due to sugar impairment.
And if you eat too much chicken you're not going to suddenly beat your spouse and children because you're and angry chicken eater.
Mine has and she went to fricken rehab for 30 days...and now, she is the best mom ever and I love her! So, I agree with Adam. Alcohol shouldn't really exist at all...it only screws you up...
Christeen wrote: "but saying that you shouldnt be able to drink untill youre 100 isnt realistic. there are alot of people who abuse it but should they ruien it for the others? my mother has never been drunk."Well this is the what if scenario. If we let people drink and widely possibly abuse this substance there could be negative consequences. Likewise if we make it illegal then people will likely use the substance and potentially harm other people!
To be honest, you'd have to look at what the negatives are of restriction. For example, look at Heroine, would Heroine be safer if it was legal and widely available? I think it's restriction helps people NOT widely be on it. Heroine was legal for a very long time and widely used also, a lot of opiates were.
We've tried outlawing alcohol in the U.S. before, it really didn't work. It's not realistic to do this. Humans are far too obsessed with this substance. I merely stated what I thought the age should be and why. Do I think it's realistic? Nope, but that's because humans get out of control with this kind of thing.
