Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) It's not weird Tammy.
I used to be the same i was like no way i will never have a e-reader it's not the same as a actual book but then i was seriously running out of space so i caved and got a kindle and i love it.
I still buy actual books and love them but i do love my kindle lol

Tammy ~Witching Hour Reads~ (03tammy-lynn) | 241 comments Alot of my books are signed so, I am not sure if I will ever get a e-reader!

message 15: by Terri (new)

Terri (mommy0306) | 9 comments Never say never. ;-) I do have a couple signed books but I also have an ebook that is signed by amber Scott. :) I kind of hope more authors will do stuff like that. That'd be awesome. :)

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) how can an ebook get signed, it's digital????????

message 17: by Terri (new)

Terri (mommy0306) | 9 comments I have no idea but she did somehow and its pretty cool. ;-)

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) lol

☺~Tina~☺ (tina007) | 12 comments I have a Kindle and a Sony Reader.

I don't think signing a ebook is that hard. It would be like when you work for a company and you send out those mass letterhead emails with signatures. They would just have to put in in the book when they are typing it up. I just think if they do it, all of them will be signed and I guess that takes away from the I-have-a-signed-copy-excitement.

nightlyreadingheather (heatherhy01) I have the literati and COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT IT!!!!

message 22: by ChaosDuchess (new)

ChaosDuchess | 3 comments I have a Pandigital Novel.
It's pretty cool. It was my Christmas present. I've recently updated it so it's more like a tablet but I mostly use it as an ereader. I haven't put any of the other ereader apps on it yet.
I still collect my real books. There's just something about turning pages and lying down while reading. But I will admit the ereader has introduced me to books I would not have found otherwise.

message 23: by Aimee (new)

Aimee Laine (aimee_laine) | 43 comments I went and played with the new Nook this afternoon (even though I have a Kindle). Didn't feel a bit guilty either. ;) The Nook is soooo different. Smaller, yet weighs about the same in my hand. The color version was amazing, but really heavy! Hubby said he wants an iPad instead. Son agreed. ::rolleyes::

message 24: by Jackie (new)

Jackie I just got a Kindle yesterday and have barely been able to put it down. I love it! I'd been using the Kindle app on my ipod, but I finally decided I wanted to read on a larger device. The ipod is great too, because I can use it for reading in poor light. That's very handy as I work in a bar and like to read when my shifts are slow.

message 25: by Tiff (new)

Tiff (toastreads) My mom and bf are going in together to get me a NookColor for my birthday next month. I can't wait! I always said I'd NEVER give in and get one. Nothing beats the feel of a new book actually in your hands and I know it's weird but.... I love the smell of a new book lol. But all the local bookstores are going out of business (2 Borders stores) so the more I thought about the erearder the more I wanted one and now I'm excited. I'll still order real books online but it will be nice to be able to read instantly after my purchase. That and it has nice children's apps I can use with my little boy when he gets a little older. =)

Kaye620 | 18 comments I downloaded Kindle and Nook for PC onto all three laptops in our house. They were both free so it gives me the chance to see what format I like best. I like the Kindle the best. However, Kindle HQ is west coast and Nook is East coast so if getting a book three hours earlier on the release day is important to you... I'm planning on asking for a Kindle for Christmas this year.

Kate Bowyer (kate_bowyer) | 6 comments I have a Kindle and love it for many reasons. It's so much easier to hold (esp. in bed), it's quick to download a new book, the battery life is really good if you sign-off of wireless, there are a ton of affordable books to buy for it and it's great to travel with.

I love the way books look, stacked on the ground or in shelves but I'll never give up my Kindle.

Tara Lain (goodreadscomtara_lain) | 7 comments I'm with Kate. A pure Kindle Lover. I have an iPad for social media and email and all that other stuff, but it's a lousy reader. Kindle has the wonderful non-reflective pages and it's charges last for weeks and weeks. And it never shuts off like an iPad which closes you down in the middle of a page LOL.: )

Good to know about the iPad. I'm looking at getting a tablet but to use it much like you say your using your iPad. I want to sit some place other than my desk an be social online :)

message 30: by Tara (new)

Tara Lain (goodreadscomtara_lain) | 7 comments The iPad is great for that! And it lets you carry your books with you too in case you get caught somewhere and want to read. But at home, i choose Kindle for reading. : )

message 31: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) I had a Kindle for my birthday and I abso love it. With no bookshelf in my home, the 40+ books I have on my kindle would be seriously all over the shop in their hard-copy form. Love it. :o)

Cathy (wheelerswife) | 2 comments I have 2 kindles, an e-ink and just got the Fire for Christmas, not sure what I am going to do with the e-ink one at this time. Absolutely love them and am so glad that I don't have to convert one of the rooms into a library. :)
