Once everybody was ready Chiron shouted, "Depart!" and the teams split. Hades, Ares, Apollo, Hermes, and Hephaestus went to the right flank dressed in red. Posidon, Athena, Aphrodite, Dionysis, and Demeter went to the left flank dressed in blue.

Katie spotted Whitney on the left flank and smirked.

Whitney stared at her with hatred.

Katie tore her eyes from Whitney and turned to wisper in a boys ear, she smiled as she wispered and he smiled.

Joelle went up to Whitney

(brb, dinner)

Whitney snapped around and tried to focus. Get the flag. That was her job, just to grab the flag. They got into their positions.

Whitney turned and gave instructions to Joelle, "Joelle your going to join me to get the flag."

Joelle nodded

We could hear the horn, indicating the game to begin.

The minute the horn sounded Katie and Quinn, son of Apollo, were off like bullets...

Whiney dragged Joelle through a neck of the woods that neither have been before.

Katie had no time to wonder where Whitney and her little friend had gone, she turned to look at Quinn who was darting through the woods right on her heels, "If you see her you know what to do, right?" she asked practically out of breath.

Quinn nodded.

Katie turned her head back to face forward and sword flew right past her face and dug itself into a tree. She gasped.

Joelle ran to keep up with whitney

Quinn threw one of his two swords at the person who had threw the sword that had just barley missed Katie's face, and kept his pace behind Katie.

"Lets split" she told Joelle and they each went off alone. When Whitney reached the river she knew what to do. She saw Katie and she was the one that threw the sword.

Joelle went to the other side deeper in the forest just barely missing being seen by Katie and Quinn

Katie skidded to a stop when she saw Whitney.

"LETS FINISH THIS!" But before she could make an attack, a roar was heard through the trees. She stopped to a halt. She looked around and suddenly out of the trees jumped a hydra and landed on top of her. Knocking her back on to the ground. She had no weapon for she threw her sword.

"HELP!" she screamed. She tried to summon the water from the river, but it was of no use, for she was too weak from the fall.

"Joelle!" Whitney yelled hoping she was not to far away.

Joelle heard Whitney scream and ran to find her not caring if anyone saw her.... When she saw the hydra she took out her bow and let an arrow fly into one of the heads

The Hydra heads turned towards Joelle and blasted her with fire.

Katie gasped and motioning for Quinn to come with ran forward. Katie threw her sword backwards, and

Quinn picked it up and threw it at the Hydra. The Hydra spit fire.

Katie harnesed the fire best she could and threw it back at the Hydra.

Joelle dove behind a tree... waiting for the fire to stop.... when it did she ran hoping the thing would follow her and get off Whitney.... she shot three more arrows at it

The Hydra was not beaten,and spit even more of the flame onto both of them. Whitney yelled from the ground,"MY SWORD! THROW ME MY SWORD!"

Quinn sprinted over to Joelle, "Let me see an arrow." he said looking from the Hydra to her over and over again.

"here" handing him one... then she ran and tossed Whitney her sword

Quinn ran back to Katie. She was dodgeing the Hydra's blasts of fire easily and he handed her the arrow. He threw his sword at one of the Hydra's heads. The head swung to look at them and he backed up a little grabbing the arrow from Katie.

Joelle continued to let her arrows fly.... "Crap! I'm running out!" she yelled

Whitney stabbed the creature on the foot and got up from the ground where it pinned her.

The hydra head spit fire at Katie and Quinn. Katie blasted the fire back and Quinn threw the arrow into the fire. It buried it self in the hydras face and the the hydra swung the head back of forth angry.

Joelle notched her last arrow hoping this would be it

She ran and stood in the river. Whitney could feel her strength returning. She willed the water to rise higher and higher untill it was ten feet above the monster. She waited until it was about to blast her, then she shot the water into their throats making it so they could not breathe fire. But the battle was not over yet, it could still fight.

Joelle yelled to Whitney "Do you have another sword? "

Katie had to admit, that was pretty clever, but she no longer had a weapon or the Hydra's fire to fight with, What now? she thought.

"The only sword I have is in that creep's foot!" She yelled back.

"Dang it! Now what that thing is going to kill us!" Joelle shouted back

"Distract the hydra, I will get it!" Whitney yelled.

"Fine!" Joelle threw a stone at the thing and ran around it

Whitney ran straight to the hydra. While it was distracted she grabbed the sword when it seemed she will escape ok the hydra turned one of its heads at the pluck of the sword. One of it's feet hit her and she flew across the field landingon the ground with her swordsman shoulder badly wounded. The only person closest to her was Katie. Hoping for Katie to forgive their fight she yelled, "Katie! Use my sword to help kill the hydra! I can't!"

"Ummm... can someone kill the hydra already I don't want to turn into a demi god marshmellow!"

Katie ran as fast as she could, which turned out to be pretty fast, over to Whitney and grabbed her sword. She didn't have a clue how to kill a hydra and threw the sword straight at Quinn.

Quinn caught the sword in mid air and threw it, it hit the Hydra right were it was supposed to. Quinn smiled.

Whitney laughed dispite of their predicament and the pain.

Joelle was breathing hard as she ran over to Whitney "Are you ok?"

Katie turned to Quinn and smiled trying to catch her breath. He smiled back.

"I don't know you tell me" She laughed and coughed. "Are you ok?"

Joelle almost fell over "gods that was hard"

Whitney tried to stand up, but she had to clutch her arm again. It was bleeding a lot now and she fell again onto her knees.
