well my hopes were crushed with the whole "not a new book" thing, but i guess i would hope that JKR gave another good author like margaret peterson haddix legal permission to continue the HP series
yeah, my hopes were crushed too when I heard it wasn't a new book:(...it better be something good! all this hype and excitement for nothing would be infuriating... :)

A shadow of an owl falls over the video screen at the end, you click the owl, it takes you to Pottermore.com where you can see pictures, submit your email, and more.

It will take a long time. This is what I had to do:I had up 3 screens and just kept on pressing submit, submit, submit, until eventually I got it.
And then one of my friends called so we both started doing hers until we got it. Then it said:
“Thank you, we have saved the email address” Then it showed my email address “We will send a notice to this address when more information comes”
Effectively. I can’t remember the exact wording.
All I’ve got to say is “PERSEVERANCE!!!!” That’s what it takes. Never give up.
I am very excited about this news. I think the website is going to be amazing, especially with all the work that they have already obviously put into it. Even right now the graphics and everthing on the site look amazing! I cannot wait until it is open to the public! I am so going to stay up until midnight and try to enter to be one of the million because I think the wait until October is going to be torturous! I am very excited and looking forward to what is to come with this website!

The first million people get a chance to register for the site and get a sneak peak before the site opens in October. I so wish I could've submitted my email! I tried a bunch of times but it kept refreshing the page, and then I went back a bit ago and now it says due to overwellming demand I can't enter it. Ugh, so frustrating.
there's a contest on july 31st. the 1st million to complete with top marks will get early entry and get to help put finishing touches on it. i've got it in the bag

Yes, i got in. Taylor, are you sure the two of you are related? :) i mean, my brother is pretty much my polar opposite, but at least he likes HP.
*gasp*!!!It took me a good 5 years after reading HP to convince my sister to read more than the first page. But I did.
One of my friends, her whole family, were never interested, it took me longer for them, about 7 years.
And then my other friend, I've probably been working on her for about 7 years before I convinced her... still have to make her sister finish reading book 7 (she got half way through book 7 and stopped!!!!)
UPDATE: MY FRIEND'S SISTER (the one who got halfway through 7 and stopped) JUST FINISHED IT YESTERDAY!!!!!!!
And now, they are all Harry Potter fans!!!!!!
I think pretty much everybody is being accepted now... that's great!
Can't wait till July/October! Probably October because July is going to be extremely difficult to get in... It would be SOOOOOOO cool though if I could. I will definitely try!!!!

If you notice, the video changed. She added the "Just follow the Owl" on the video that was shown on Pottermore...but if you watch it now (or at least when I watched it again last night) they cut that part out. Which leaves me to believe that the "Follow the Owl" line was a clue that only the people who saw the video early got. (well, more now that everyone is posting about it. :p )
Who knows. I watched it 3-4 times the other night after seeing the "Follow the Owl" message in the morning, and it wasn't saying "Follow the Owl" that evening, which is odd. Maybe it was a site bug, not really sure. Either way the "Follow the Owl" is a clue I believe.
Yea, it's a possibility. I can't even imagine how many times the website is going to crash once it's open to the public. That site is going to have so many hits, considering it's immense popularity. Never before revealed HP information from J.K? every Potter fan in the world is going to be all over that!

yeah, because the "follow the owl" thing is basically just saying that you have to go to pottermore. it's no on the message on pottermore because if you're there, you already "followed the owl"
pottermore is legit! i can't wait till october or hopefully july 31! it makes sure the series will live on forever!
