Now is the time to pull up a chair, grab a cup of caffeine, and let us know a little about yourself. What do you like to read? What are you reading now? And what brings you to GoodReads?

I'll go first. I'm Kathryn (Diane and I started Seedpod Publishing).

Of course, I've recently read the quirky and hilarious Scattershot, by Richard Goodwin. I'm also fast approaching the end of Edith Grossman's translation of Don Quixote. So far, my favorite moment in the story has been when our man of La Mancha worries over the holes in his stockings while pining over the absence of his portly sidekick, Sancho. It's really very beautiful.

As far as GoodReads, the site tells me I became a member in October 2007 (has it really been that long?). I joined mainly to remind myself which books I'd read and what I thought of them. I had no idea the amazing group of readers I'd find here to boot.

I love reading classic books, History, crime and other interesting books. I recently read 'War and Peace' and 'Anna Karenina' by Leo Tolstoy, one of the best books I have ever read.

Well I joined Goodreads because I find this site very interesting and I found here various books that am able to read online. Also, to share ideas about books.

Hello everyone, I'm Ann.

Day job: editing--mostly book manuscripts, mostly academic writing. Elsewise I have two kids, fix up an old house, knit, play outside, cook, travel, and write (mostly novels and screenplays). I'm in the Midwest and pretty much OF the Midwest, too.

My reading interests are various, and I joined Goodreads to see how many books I read in a year. I didn't realize there was all this shelf building and recommending and free book winning going on as well.

It seems we have a tidy band of awesomeness here in the Seedpod Readers group.
