*TheWrittenWord*Mo (thewrittenwordmo) Hey y'all

I thought I could open this, with permission of the mods of course, to post the completed stories that we all wrote together :)

There is two so far and a third is underway...

*TheWrittenWord*Mo (thewrittenwordmo) #1 - The Short Story of Calypso

Once upon a time there was a princess who lived far away in an old castle, somewhere far away on a deserted island. The island was enchanted because a sorceress wanted to take all the animals away in a big magical carriage so that they would do it with each other. They were hidden by the sorceress in a different cave so that the animals could help no-one but her. She wanted their help to increase her power so no-one else could take over her island. She enchanted not only the island but also all inhabitants who died, their spirits were held hostage so their life-energy could be used to give the sorceress, called Calypso, power to take over the whole island. Now that the sorceress ruled the island, the princess was put into hiding so that Calypso couldn’t capture her and steal her powers because she was the only one who could stop calypso, so the queen tucked her away until she became strong enough to fight calypso and take back the island which belonged originally to the animals who worked in service of the king and queen and their family.

The Princess had known her fate from a young age. She accepted it but she has still always been a girl that hoped she would never encounter something that could cause harm to her and those around her. So when she had to fight the dragons and Calypso all she had to do was to go to Olympus and find someone who could undo the spell that calypso cursed upon the island that she inhabited. At Olympus lived the gods who would help the princess named Cassandra because of the ancient Trojan princess with the gift of prophecy Cassandra so that her power would be strong enough to defeat calypso. After months of training the gods told Cassandra she was ready and had to travel to the island of Capri where Calypso was based. Cassandra travelled there on a galleon with some lightning bolts from Zeus himself she was well prepared to defeat Calypso.

Once she arrived at Capri she was shocked at the sight of the island and the beauty of the mermaids who lived there in the blue sea. Cassandra asked the man beside her to take a picture then she looked for a way to find the Castle of Magic and Faith, it was located on the top of the mountain hidden from the master of disguise who has some weird hair-do for a man at the age of 111. His name was Adam. Master Adam, as we call him, lived there only half a year before the summer would come. He hated summer because it reminded him of the times when his wife used to be dancing with the flowers around her as the sun started to dive to the sea.

At this moment in time, Adam knew that Cassandra would visit him soon after he came back from the mountain of Doom. Back on the beach Cassandra was looking at the horizon when a dark shadow flew overhead. It was Calypso, she had found where Cassandra was after all these years of searching she finally found her standing where she never thought possible, on the land of her husband. She was surprised to see that the land was still the same as they left it, which made the happiness enter her heart after years of hatred and pain. Calypso had finally found happiness on the land of her husband where the dreams come true and she finally saw her husband standing beside a tree looking at the sunset with his blue eyes filled with joy. Adam loved Calypso and had never stopped, not even when she left. Now as they stood only a few feet apart she said: “I love you! It was a mistake that I left you, sorry for what I have done, sorry for the pain I have caused you. I miss you. I want you back. Will you forgive me?”
And so the story of Calypso and Adam comes to an end, now that lovers reunite the spell of the Island is broken and the animals live in peace, once again under the rule of the monarchs. Cassandra returns home after 20 years of protection. Though her role in the freeing of the animals was smaller than expected she was content with it in the end. Cassandra became Queen a few years later and everyone lived happily ever after.

*TheWrittenWord*Mo (thewrittenwordmo) #2 – The Golden Light

Did you know that in a land we call the aborigines? There is a small girl called Anna, she lives in a small humble house with a little garden filled with coloured flowers that made it look like heaven on earth.

But one day a man came and he took her to his cottage at the top of the mountain where he kept all of his corpses in a freezer. This freezer was huge and cold and so old that it stinks but it worked and so there are many corpses that have maggots all over them, wasting away as corpses do. The maggots fed on the dead flesh and the girls that had been taken were unrecognisable, due to some old voodoo magic the corpses were awakened; they called the FBI once they found the hide out. The FBI tried to find traces of the victims’ souls which escaped and now roam the mountain haunting hikers and little children. The lost souls as they are called are searching for a book that holds the key to eternal life. The killer was set loose after an eternity in hell but was not purged and so he killed in order to create the lost souls because only they could search for the book and unlock the spell to eternity.

However the guardian of the book was a big black ugly fujdoks with razor sharp teeth that could shred through the most dense materials, he was so huge he could break the bones of any man alive And wander into a forest without being seen but the scariest thing of all about the fujdoks was they are able to change forms and sometimes even human shapes are possible and they entered the village preying on young men, recruiting them by biting them and tear their hearts out, by doing this weird mojo and crazy dance the fujdoks are created. All the young men were afraid but there was no-one to save them so they fought to protect themselves.

Except for one Jeremiah, he was the son of a baker’s family and he had always been different. It had gotten worse ever since Angie had moved away his best friend since kindergarten but have to be separated because her father was the blacksmith and his the baker, enemies from the start and Jeremiah and Angie each possessed the golden light. A power within that combined could do more good than harm. However because of a bad witch Jacinta the light's powers were reversed, that is why the fujdoks hunt the young men. They are searching for the one with the golden light because only then they could create a powerful guardian to protect their children from disease. The disease was the only thing killing fujdoks and the disease spreads easily through the transmittance of blood. And as the fujdoks fight amongst themselves the risk of getting cut and slain is high so risk of getting the disease is high, hence why the guardian must be someone with the power and could is needed. Since the power of the light is most powerful when combined, both Angie and Jeremiah are "needed" to become guardians to protect the species from extinction but Angie has moved country, so only Jeremiah is left in the village at the foot of the mountain. So the fujdoks recruit the young men to re-group their numbers and to find the boy with the golden light.

Jeremiah was aware of the fujdoks coming to capture him so he fled to find Angie because he fears for her safety but he only knew she had moved south, he didn't know which village and it was a hunt for both the fujdoks and Jeremiah, neither wanted to lose sight of their prey. As the fujdoks prepared for their next raid, Jeremiah went to seek out the magician, Balthazar who is capable to create a weapon that could kill the un-killable dragons that might cross his path and protect himself from the fujdoks because they have a thick armour which no bullet can penetrate. It was early the next morning that Jeremiah woke up and found the sun was red in colour...

It was a sign of danger, so he grabbed his pack which was fully prepared and fled the cave he was staying in. He tried to cover his tracks with dirt, but the wind was too strong and it didn't work so well, he chants a spell that could make snow falls to cover his tracks instead. It seems that his magic lessons were good for something in the end.

Now the FBI is on the move, they’ve found the killer at last. He’s been tried and found guilty and sentenced to death. The lost souls are still lost, probably destined to roam the earth for eternity. Jeremiah knew none of this and still on the search for Angie, little did he know that Angie is in fact Anna, one of the new lost souls, the search is still on. But Jeremiah has no concrete plan, and with no plan he hides mostly from his followers, the fujdoks who are desperate to find the boy with the golden light to save their offspring. The story continues, and years later it remains just that, a story, a legend told to little children, a fairytale of love and hope and despair.
