Cole sat in the grass surrounding the lake, the sun was hitting his back and dark hair, the warmth felt good. He flexched his wings.

Lavender sat at the edge of the lake with her feet in the water

Cole saw Lavender, and without bothering to move, spoke. "Hello." he said.

Lavender started "Oh Hello"

"I'm Cole."

"I'm Lavender"

He glided to his feet, walked over to her, and held out his hand. "Nice to meet you Lavender."

Lavender took his hand "You too"

He sat down next to her looking at the lake.

"What are you?"

He glanced at his wings. "Angel." he said simply. "You?"

"Water fairy"

He smiled. "I've never met a fairy before. Well, until now."

Lavender smiled "I have never seen an angel til I met you"

He raised his eyebrows playfully. "Then we're even."

Lavender smiled "We are"

He nodded and looked back at the lake. "Do you come here often?"

"Yes it;s the only body of water I can find right now" leaning down to the water to make a small fountain

He watched in curiosity. "That's really cool."

"Thanks, I can somtimes turn it colors to "

He looked at her smiling.

Lavender got up then laid down on her stomach

"Your lucky to have a power like that," he said quietly.

Lavender looked up at him "Why?"

"Well," he turned and layed on his stomach next to her his wings flexing a bit. "You have this truly... beautiful power and I have power over... the dark."

"The dark?" Lavender's sapphire necklace was dangling in the water.. she put her hand in and made a water ball

He watched her make the ball of water and sighed. "The dark. It's weird for an angel, I know, I thought the same thing, but..."

"But what?" sending the ball out the middle of the lake

"But," he looked at her. "Maybe it's becuase I'm fallen."

"I don't think it should matter"

He srugged. "Well, have you ever heard of an angel have power over darkness before?"

"Ummm... no, but then I have never seen an angel or heard much about them"

He let out a short laugh. "Likewise, but about fairies."

Lavender giggled then drew a swirlly design in the water

Cole ran his hand over a small patch of grass, the grass began to wither and drop to one side or another. It looked as if it where slowly being sprayed with black spray paint...

Lavender watched "Interesting"

He pulled his hand away and the grass slowly rose and turned green again. He never meant to do that, it just kind of happened...

"Hummmm... did you mean to do that?"

He looked at her and shook his head. "No, I never do."

She shrugged "Well... I guess this would be like the time I got mad and I made a watertower explode"

He laughed. "Explode? Did you get in a lot of trouble?"

Lavender smiled "Yup it exploded.. and no one knows I did it"

He smiled wider. "Nice."

"I know then another time I was in the ocean and some guy was doing something that I did not like so the water around me was boiling"

"I'll make a mental note never to get you mad when around water."

Lavender shrugged "I could do this" she raised her hand a little and a small wave came rolling in

He watched, longing to have a power that didn't destroy anything.

"Umm... maybe.."

"Maybe, what?"
