Bella walked into the huge hallways of Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry

Aida sat down at the Ravenclaw table with her friends.

Calix pulled his head up from the Slytherin table looking around. He was so bored.

Scarlet walked into the Great Hall and looked around at the many people who were seated there. She slid quietly into her seat at the Ravenclaw table.

Looking up, he saw a girl walk in and sit down at the Ravenclaw table. Ravenclaw...The house I should have been in...

She glanced over at him and smiled a bit.

She smiled at him. At him. At him... He was a Slytherin. A dirty, no-good, Slytherin. But she was kind of cute...Despite his conflicting emotions, he raised his hand in a tiny wave.

Scarlet's smile broadened a bit and she waved as well, then she turned and focused her attention on the food, or at least tried to act like she was focusing on her food.

Calix looked over at her. All he could see was the back of her head...

She quickly gave up and stood up. She glanced at Calix again and then hurried out of the Great Hall and went into the hallway. Maybe she would go to the library instead....

She left the Great Hall. Dang. He'd been hoping to go over and talk to her, but...

Scarlet stood in the hall, going through the contents of her bag. Did she even have the book she needed to return?

He left the Great Hall, going to head back to the basement Common Room. Not looking where he was going, he accidentally bumped into Scarlet, both of them falling over. “Oh, oh my Gaia, I’m so, so sorry!” He stood up, helping her up. “Oh, hey.”

"Ouch," she grumbled, getting shakily to her feet. "It's no big deal," she said quickly, heat flooding to her face. Why was she blushing? It's not like she had tripped over her feet....this time.

“Oh my Gaia, I’m so sorry,” Calix said, a worried look on his face, his Greek accent slightly agitated. “I’m so so sorry! I’m Fotopoulos, by the way. Calix Fotopoulos.” He smiled slightly.

Scarlet smiled as well.
"Nice to meet you Calix," she said, extending her hand. "I'm Scarlet. Scarlet Roman."

He smiled, shaking her hand. "Are you okay? I mean, it's not often a skinny Greek kid bumps into you."

She laughed and pushed her bangs out of her eyes.
"Yes, I'm okay. Skinny Greek kids don't bump into me, but annoying little brothers do. I'm kind of used to it."

Calix looked over at Lyte. "Errmm..Hi. I'm Fotopoulos."

Sacrlet waved timdly at her.

She nodded.
"Yup."

Scarlet smiled.
"Nice job. Hard to forget that," she chuckled, thinking back on the previous years quidditch season.

She pushed back her bangs again, which had started falling over her face once more.

"Bye," she said softly, watching her as she left.

"Ravenclaw, yeah?" Calix smiled. "That's cool."

She smiled again and nodded.
"Yeah. You're Slytherin, right?"

"Yeah," he shrugged. "Home of the pureblood eedjits."

Scarlet grinned.
"You sound so proud."

"Oh, I'm so proud it's not even funny."

She raised an eyebrow.
"Humor me."

"I hate Slytherin," Calix shrugged.

"Hate is such a strong word," Scarlet teased lightly.

"How about abhor," Calix smiled.

She grinned. "Better, I suppose."

"Actually, it's not..."

"No?" she asked, eyes wide. "And why not?"

"Hate is not a stronger word than abhor," Calix shrugged.

"Fair enough," Scarlet said. She pushed back her hair once more and her bag slipped down her shoulder. Scarlet looked down at it and then back up at Calix. "I was going to go to the library...I have to return a book."
She looked up through her hair which had fallen over her eye once more. "You want to come with?" she asked a bit shyly.

“Would you like me to come?” Calix smiled, flipping his hair out of his eyes.

"If you don't mind," Scarlet replied, blushing.

"Sure, I'll come," Calix smiled crookedly. "Sounds like a party and a half."

She grinned and the blush quickly faded away as she turned and started walking towards the library.
"Oh yeah, party in the library."

"Don't let Madame Pince stop us," Calix whispered, grinning. "I'd have detention again..."

Scarlet chuckled.
"Again?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Again," he nodded.

Cartin spotted Calix and walked over, "Hey, Cal. Bragging about detention again?"

"I wouldn't say bragging," he grinned. "More like...telling a humourous anecdote."

She shook her head, laughing now.

She rolled her eyes, "Yeah, you were bragging."
