((DRAMA! START HERE.))

Victoria opened her locker and started pulling out books. She was trying desperatley to remeber what her next class was, but she didn't want to take out her schedule and look totally lame. Did it matter what people thought of her? Victoria sighed. Yes it did. Why was she so self-conscious?

James walked into school confidently. He walked slowly to his locker and grabbed some books. He closed his locker harder than he wanted to, making a huge slamming noise. He looked around, slightly embarrassed.

Victoria looked over at James, raising her eyebrows slightly.
"You angry or something?" she asked, grinning.

"Maybe." He said with a grin.

"Doesn't mean you have to take it out on your locker," Victoria replied, closing her locker. She chuckled.

"I'd rather take it out on my locker than take it out on a pretty girl like you." He said with a smile. .

Victoria blushed.
"Fairly said," she responded, trying to seem unfazed by his response.

James smiled. "What class do you have next?"

"Uhm....algebra?" It came out as more of a question than an answer.
She checked her schedule, blushing furiously.
"Algebra," Victoria confirmed. "You?"

James chuckled,"Algebra. You seem a little flustered, you might need me to walk you to class?"

"I think I coud find my way," Victoria said grinning. "But maybe you'd better tag along in case I get lost."

James smiled. "So you want me to tag along so I can get lost too?"

"Sure," Victoria said. She winked at him.

James chuckled,"Got something in your eye?"

Victoria bust out laughing.
"I should get to class," she said, grinning. She turned around - her hair billowing out behind her, and headed towards the Algebra room.

James smiled and followed her into class. He sat in the back of the class, half hoping that she would sit beside her.

Victoria took a seat beside James and pulled out her notebook - not that she was planning on taking notes. Algebra bored her, and it wasn't that hard to figure the problems out....usually.

James saw her sit beside her and smiled,"You know, I never caught your name." He said.

"Victoria," she said, smiling back at him. "And yours?"

"James. Nice to meet ya Victoria."

"Nice to meet you too," she replied, trying hard not to grin.

James smiled.

The teacher started talking about x and y and all this junk. Victoria ignored him.

"So, you good at algebra?" she asked.

"I wish." James said with a chuckle. "I'm good enough to get by I guess."

Victoria sighed.
"I guess I should pay attention then so that you can pay attention. I wouldn't want to distract you from your work."

James chuckled. "You think that you won't be a distraction to me if you shut up?"

"Maybe I'd be less of a distraction if I shut up," Victoria replied, grinning broadly.

"I don't think so." James said with a grin.

Victoria chuckled.
"No? And why is that?"

"Lets see....which sounds better? Pretty girl or algebra?"

"Which will get you to pass highschool?" she asked, but she couldn't help leaning towards James.

"Which will be more important after high school?" James said, leaning towards Victoria slowly.

"There won't be an after highschool if you don't pass it," Victoria replied.

"Not if I drop out." James said with a chuckle.

Victoria widened her eyes in mock surprise at the idea of dropping out.
"I'd do everything I could to stop you from dropping out."

"Why would you do that?"

"Because, I wouldn't want my crush to be a drop out now would I?" Victoria asked, her eyebrows raised and lips curved into a playful smile.

James grinned,"That makes a difference."

"Thought it would," she replied, chuckling.

James smiled. The bell rang and class was dimissed.

Victoria grabbed her stuff and stood up.
"Guess I ended up distracting you anyway," she sighed.

"I don't mind." James said, standing up.

Victoria headed towards the door.
"But if it prevents you from graduating then I'm gonna mind."

"I'll graduate. I promise."

"You promise?" she asked, eyebrows raised.

"Of course. Pinky Promise." He stuck out his pinky.

Victoria laughed and hooked her pinky around his.
"You better grauduate then. You can't break a pinky promise."

"I know, they're binding." He said with a smile.
