Looks: It is very important to be thorough and detailed to best aid others in picturing what your character looks like. Please keep your descriptions objective and factual.

Eyes: In this section, please describe your character's eyes. Ask yourself how the colour and shape is, if they are wide set or not; you can also describe lashes and eyebrows here. Please refrain from using phrases such as "she has beautiful eyes." It is a personal opinion, and as such doesn't belong in a character sheet. Don't give your character an eye colour that doesn't exist. Colour changing eyes are not accepted either.

Hair: Here we expect a description of the hair; you can talk about the colour, length, whether the hair is curly or straight, how the character usually styles it etc. Please stick to natural-looking hair-colours unless your character is a metamorphmagus.

Height: Please just insert a height here. Make sure that it works for your character's age though.

General Appearance: This is the part of the Looks section that needs most attention. It is recommended to structure it. You can start describing the face, for example. Think of how the face is shaped, how the skin looks (colour, does the character have freckles or dimples, etc.), the lips / teeth, nose and any striking facial features should be described here.

When you've dealt with all aspects you wanted to describe, you proceed to the build of the character, are they lean or not? Muscular? Are there any recognisable things about the body?

You can also add something about typical expressions, body language etc. here.

When you are done with this part of the sheet it should be possible for the reader to imagine how your character looks like. Therefore you should make sure that your description covers a lot of aspects of your character's appearance.

Dressing Style: What does your character wear? Please bear in mind the climate of where your character lives. You can also describe cuts, fabrics, preferred colours and such when describing your character's clothes.

Personality: Here you describe your character's personality. Ask yourself how your character ticks. You can (and probably should) write at least 1 if not few paragraphs here. Try to structure them a little and make sure that you explain the character traits which you mention in some way. If someone is nice but also occasionally mean then please, explain in which situations they act in which way. Tell us if your character experienced something that made them feel and act in a certain way.

It might help to collect some key words first and we strongly advise you to look for both positive and negative character traits. Bear in mind that nobody is perfect and your character, therefore, should have some flaws as well.

Likes: What does your character like? What interests them? Which hobbies do they have? Is there any food your character particularly likes? Please explain.

Dislikes: This section is very similar to the Likes section. Tell us something about the things your character dislikes. You can list things, situations and also a behaviour that others might show. Be creative!

Habits/Mannerisms: Does your character have any ticks? Things they do all the time? You can list things like chewing nails here. Also mannerisms such as, for example, doing something in the same order all the time, can be listed here. If there's something special about your character's facial expression, body language, or voice you can add that here as well. Explaining the things you chose is appreciated. You could tell us something about how they developed a habit / mannerism. This will help us sort you.

Strengths: What we are looking for in this section are personality strengths. Tell us about character traits that are positive about your toon. Are they friendly, helpful, determined, loyal,...? Please, point out how these traits apply to your character and write this section in complete sentences.

Weaknesses: Which bad character traits and weaknesses does your character have? Usually there should be about as many weaknesses as strengths, if not more. Examples for weaknesses would be when your character is mean, disloyal ect.

Background Story: The Background Story is an important part of your character sheet. Please bear in mind that the personality of your character developed because of the things that happened in their lives. Their personality and their morals stem from their experiences, after all. This being said, you should make sure to show this in your writing. If your character is very tense and overly shy there might have been something in their life that made them behave like that. It is essential that you also describe the relationship your character has with their parents, siblings or any other people who play a big role in their lives. If your character has a rocky relationship with their father, for example, there is certainly a reason for this.

Please note that overly dramatic background stories will only be approved if you provide a detailed and convincing explanation of the events and describe how they influenced the character.

The history should always be written chronologically. That means past to the present.

Describe your character's early childhood. Describe anything that is important and influenced your character. Relationships with the family members and some special events can be mentioned here.

History: Jacob grew up in a small town and was the star of the baseball field. He glided through high school at the top of the food chain. Though he wasn't the king of the castle, he was among royalty. His parents are devout Christians and he was required to attend church services every Sunday, without any exceptions. Due to his strict upbringing he has a desire to break out and rebel. Maybe that's why he can't get images of kissing boys out of his head. Struggling to define who he is on the inside has lead him to party often. Rather than confront his feelings for boys head on, he'd rather get drunk, crack jokes, and push away anyone trying to get him to reveal his most personal thoughts. Though he appears happy and joyous on the outside, he is hopeless and burdened on the inside.


Serious Problems/Flaws/Addictions/Disorders/Disabilities: Jake's biggest problem is confronting his homosexual desires, and how these desires push him to self-hatred and depression. He often turns to a wild party to cover his hatred with partying as much as possible.

Having a steady girlfriend was an easy way for him to distract himself from his desires for other guys. He hasn't been in a serious relationship since.
