How do you know you can do "it"?

"It" being whatever is needed to survive what life throws at you if being a Navy Seal isn't what you want to do? There must be equivalent life "tests" that we can measure ourselves by... what are they and do we acknowledge them?

Of course! The measure of a real man is how committed to his family he actually is... The guy who stays and makes the relationship actually work is the real man. Navy SEAL training included, there isn't a harder thing than building and protecting a family... and I doubt there's anything more rewarding either. Thanks for the insight.

Yeah, there is an "equivalent life test" to being a Navy SEAL and that is being committed in a monogamous relationship to a woman. Women throw so many of life's trials and tribulation towards a man that test a man's inter- fortitude to press on.

My friend, as one Senior Chief (SEAL) once said, women are better off without us. Of course, the Senior Chief meant that woman are better off without SEALs in their life, but I translate that to woman are better off without men, in general, in their life.

If you are considering attend Basic Underwater Demolition School (BUD/s) in order to test your manhood, simply don't. Just test your ability not to quit by committing to a monogamous relationship.
