Tea Break!

I drink lots of water and tea throughout the day. Sone Diet Pepsi too. If I am going to have a glass of wine or a beer, I usually do it on the weekend when I have the time and can watch a movie too.
I just picked up one of those Tazo or Tao or whatever it's called teas that comes in a silver tin and has brewing/steeping instructions in English and French.

The Republic of Tea stuff is normally awesome, but lately I have been going with coffee or the lazy Crystal Light iced tea route. On another note, I <3 Minecraft, but it's messing with my reading habits.
Crystal Light is bad for you you know *crosses arms and gives stern look to the Crystal Light drinkers* I'm always trying new teas and am especially fond of peppermint, darjeeling and earl grey. Stash is a decent budget brand as is Red Rose and Celestial Seasonings. I'm going to have to try Tazo i keep seeing it on the shelf at the store.

Really? I thought it was pretty decent for you...

Aspartame and lots of other artificial sweeteners are bad for you because of the cancer risk rises with consumption.
Aspartame sounds like an italian condiment.
Amanda wrote: "Aspartame and lots of other artificial sweeteners are bad for you because of the cancer risk rises with consumption. "Aspa... who???
^ Aspartame is just another artificial sweetener. There's a lot of controversy going around about it (like every other artificial sweetener, lol).
Scott wrote: "Why can't people just eat real food???"Frankenfood rules the country, everything comes out of a box.
Per the American Cancer Society's page on aspartame, there has never been a study which showed that aspartame is carcinogenic, nor that it causes any other health issues (unless you have a rare genetic disorder that I couldn't even begin to pronounce.)Personally I avoid artificial sweeteners because I think they taste disgusting, and they have that nasty aftertaste, but that's another issue entirely.
Ha ha, I myself am guilty of drinking Crystal Light (with all that aspartame lol), but they do have a few boxes that use a natural sweetener. Just like everything else, consuming aspartame (or sugar) in moderation won't kill you =P
I don't hate sugar, I love it. It's just hard for me to choose to drink something with 100 calories, rather than an option with 0 calories. I can drink the 0 calorie option, and have a cookie besides, or just have the 100 calorie minus the cookie. I like cookies!!
Elaina wrote: "^ Aspartame is just another artificial sweetener. There's a lot of controversy going around about it (like every other artificial sweetener, lol)."Quite gross. :(

But they're a myth!
Like rain on your wedding day.
Or a free ride when you're already late.
I could be mistaken, though.

That's irony.

Haha actually "Ironic" isn't ironic at all they're all just a series of unfortunate events with no irony which drove many a college professor insane
I agree with the whole sugar = gaining weight thing. I recently cut out 90% of what was my current sugar intake and have lost 30 pounds. *knocks on wood*I feel better, too. Lots more energy.
I eat Hawaiian grown sugarcanes. Skips the whole baking process and goes direct to the source.
Mmm mmm diabetes.

My daughter is into the whole "Truvia" sweetener thing. Supposedly it's better for you than any of the artificial sweeteners (supposedly since it's from the stevia plant). So far there's only a couple of powdered drinks that have it...Crystal Light has one line but not all there drinks have it (and it can be hard to find) and (oddly) some Wal-Mart brand drinks have it...Oh well, I'll stick with mixing my Kool Aid into unsweet tea. It has sugar and I do need to lose a bit of weight...but it tastes better and so far as I know sugar in moderation isn't causing anything new.
