Your issue of Messiah was published in 1999, if I read correctly. I honestly don't think you get much more recent than that. And to be honest, why would you want to? General quantum mechanics on this level hasn't changed in that time anyway. Howver, there are several good books on quantum mechanics. I can immediately recommend Bransden & Joachain "Introduction to quantum mechanics" and the classic Sakurai "Modern Quantum Mechanics", two often-consulted books in my bookshelf at work, both of which are availible in fairly recent editions.
