College Students! discussion

So who else has been following this Pottermore thing? The announcement today explained more about what it is, and I'm curious as to your opinions about it. At first I didn't really know how to feel, but the more I think about it, the more excited I'm becoming. I'll definitely become involved with it. What are your thoughts?

Also, I made a blog post about it if anyone wants to check it out!

Haha I'm with Amanda, I'm still just as lost.

I'm really excited about it! My tumblr yesterday was completely dedicated to it. :D I've seen a couple of screenshots and it really looks amazing.

I'm still a little lost too, but it seems like encourages rereading the books and then interacting online with other readers, and also rowling will provide new information such as mcgonagall's background. I think it will be pretty cool. Oh, and they are finally going to be offered as e-books. Although I don't have an e-reader so that doesn't mean much to me now, but maybe I will have one by October when this site opens up...

Some of my friends have Pottermore and I have read an news article about it. I have seen enough screenshots on Tumblr to know I want in and refuse to talk about Pottermore with anyone that's in. Probably due to spite. When I am sorted into Ravenclaw, all bets are off. :)

I just signed up and I'm addicted! It's so fun reliving the books, finding out new information and backstories, reading Rowling's ideas, and interacting with other fans. Getting my wand and being sorted made me so giddy. Still figuring it out but having a lot of fun doing so.

I am loving this site, so much fun! I reacted the same way to getting my wand and being sorted. I'm rubbish at dueling and potions. lol. Still working on getting better so I can earn some points.

I love all of the extras, only about 1/8th of the world that Rowling built in her mind made it into the books, so exciting that we get to see more of it now!

Can someone just slap my face right now!!
I was waiting for so many days for the mail to arrive and I don't even realise I already got it!! I got the confirmation mail just a few minutes after I register!
I don't know it was the mail so I just keep waiting and waiting when finally I was so angry and I open the mail again and finally work out on how to sign in.
I feel so stupid.

Is anyone else a bit disillusioned with the whole thing? I feel like it's mostly preteens posting random things and the exploration of the books moves much to slowly for me. I was bored relatively quickly. I thought the wand selection and the sorting were very well done, however. It rekindled the magic, at least for me.

I signed up a few weeks ago, but it really hasn't held my interest either. I agree that the sorting hat and wand selection were fun. I also liked making potions for awhile, but there's just not enough up yet to keep my interest.

I'll definitely go back to using it once the rest of the books are open to explore. It's been almost a year of the Sorcerer's Stone for me, so yeah, it's become a bit boring. Also, my username is Fangbronze51, feel free to add me!
