Stacey You know the book that you couldn't put down and couldn't wait to get back to?

message 2: by Mary (new)

Mary | 236 comments STILL MISSING (Chevy Stevens) not that long ago, but right now ... THOSE WHO SAVE US!! What about you, Stacey?

message 3: by Theresa (new)

Theresa My current book, A Visit from the Goon Squad. It really is wonderful. And before that, The Passage.

message 4: by Melki (new)

Melki I read Stephen Kings "Under the Dome" earlier this year. Good thing it was a page turner, 'cos there were over 1000+ to turn! It'd recommend reading this on a Kindle if you have one - much less heavy.

message 5: by Kris (new)

Kris (kris421) | 6 comments After not reading Stephen King for a decade or so, I picked up "Under the Dome." Sorry, I disagree. Not a page turner for me.

Melissa (melissa419) | 123 comments State of Wonder was excellent!

message 7: by Elise (new)

Elise Still Missing, hands down.

message 8: by Stacey (new)

Stacey The last one had to be The Girl Who Played with Fire (Millennium, #2) by Stieg Larsson I could not put it down!

message 9: by Beth (new)

Beth Colarossi | 16 comments The Kitchen House or Unbroken. Liked many of the other mentioned, especially Those Who Save Us but these two stood out for me

message 10: by Caroline (new)

Caroline (caro7) The two (they are companion books) I just finished: Not Without My Daughter by Betty Mahmoody and its sequel, For the Love of a Child by Betty Mahmoody by Betty Mahmoody. Both books kept me reading late into the night.

It's funny. I have heard some find it to be a page-turner, and others really don't care for it.

Caroline (caro7) Elise wrote: "Still Missing, hands down."

Is this a sequel? Didn't she write another one with a similar title?

message 13: by Stacey (new)

Stacey Caroline, I think Still Missing is her debut novel.

message 14: by Mary (new)

Mary | 236 comments Still Missing IS Chevy Stevens' debut novel. Her second one, Never Knowing, is due out a week from tomorrow, July 5. Really looking forward to it after being gripped by Still Missing!!

message 15: by Caroline (new)

Caroline (caro7) Thanks, Stacey and Mary. :D

message 16: by Mary (new)

Mary | 236 comments Caroline, I forgot to say that although this next one isn't a sequel, the same therapist featured in Still Missing will be in this one too. I like that idea!

I didn't know that. That's interesting! I'm looking forward to Never Knowing,

message 18: by Gretchen (new)

Gretchen (gkonkler5) Revenge of the Spellmans was a page turner for me read most over two days. Just fun and light.

message 19: by Elise (new)

Elise I've got Never Knowing on my list!

Sam (ecowitch) | 157 comments Stephen Fry's The Liar seems to be a page turner for me at the moment (it is currently on my desk screaming 'finish me, finish me'!), its utterly brilliant and has had me in stitches

Lynne - The Book Squirrel (squirrelsend) I am currently reading Esther: A Story For Girls by Rosa Nouchette Carey, it's free on Amazon Kindle and a bit old fashioned but I haven't been able to stop reading it.

Finished The Liar last night, actually put off making my tea until I'd finished it was that good. Got The Hippopotamus to read as well but saving that for a rainy weekend (well day more like but you see what I mean)

message 24: by Melki (new)

Melki You put off making tea? Gasp!

Yup it was that good, doesn't happen very often, usually I'm making tea one-handed but this was too good!

message 26: by Theresa (new)

Theresa I couldn't stop reading The Sweet Relief of Missing Children. It is very creepy and very sad.
