YA Book Council discussion

Let's try to get Maria V. Snyder to sign in L.A. next year! How do we do that? By getting enough people to be excited about her next books. Do you think we can do it? I think so...

Maria came here in 2005 for Poison Study when she was just an unknown, first-time author. To get Harlequin to foot the bill for sending her here, we've got to make it worth her publisher's while! I'd appreciate your continued efforts in networking and spreading the word! Among all of us, I think we have recommended to about 100 people in the last 2 months--that's pretty amazing!

I do as much as I can to promote it at my work, and with my friends (including you guys!). I am also going to be working on infecting other Borders stores with Poison Study fever! I would like to do the same at libraries and schools but have not had the time/contacts to do so yet. Maybe soon.

Jane and I will be posting more ideas on how to spread the word--for now what you guys have done in trying to get your signed book (referral contest) is cool. And if you have ideas, please post them!

By the way, for those of you who haven't been paying attention to Study Buddies, Maria's coming to LA! She's coming in April.
