Witch Song
question
What did You think???
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,i think it was pretty good but it was a bit slow but i want more action if you ask me.
Is this a Young Adult book?
It looks interesting, but don't want to end up with a book written for teenagers.
Thanks

I liked it, however I think this book is lack of strong characters. The ideas are quite unique though.
Hmmm...I liked the premise, but I thought the writing wasn't very good. The romance wasn't very believable, and neither were the characters' reactions to things, in my opinion. I agree with Citra. Plus, the frog-man (I can't even remember his name) was a blatant rip-off of Golem, right down to his speech. The only difference was the characters innate goodness.
I thought it was ok, it was interesting enough for me to want to read the 2nd book, but the thing I didn't like was I wanted more romance between Joshen and Brusenna, it was like they met and then all of sudden she likes him. There was no butterflies or tummy flip-flops when he looked at her or anything like that. So maybe the 2nd one will be better.
I actually thought it was on the dull side, like someone giving you a blow by blow of a long plane trip. I even started skimming about halfway through.
I really didn't like the songs. Of course, I don't like Tolkien's songs, either, so it's probably just me.
The magic seemed at times a little silly, and varied in power according to plot needs, but the trees near the end were cool, with their special fruits.
I didn't really connect with the characters at much beyond surface level, but I did enjoy some of the conversations between them.
I really liked the culture shock in Tartan, and some of the world-building was good, but it just wasn't my favorite book.

I enjoyed this book, but yes, I thought it was too slow, not enough action and I also did not like the songs.
