I'm Connor, and I founded this group because I was bored and Middle Earth is AMAZING!!!!! My favorite books are The Lord of the Rings and those are my favorite movies. I don't watch many movies though so yeah...

You keep telling me you don't like the books. What do ya mean they're great? Read them again, then you'll realize how great they really are.....

i haven't watched the movies because I haven't finished the books...my code for reading.

GOOD!!!!! I really wish I read the books first. I was in fifth grade though, so I wouldn't have understood it very well if it weren't for the movies.

Always interested in the early development of the Mythos in Tolkien's imagination starting with Farmer Giles of Ham and the like. Me ? 70-year-old retired Prof. of English with concentration in the Middle Ages.

Am in both this and Llama groups. Tolkien was a Germanic philologist by profession. Took The Battle of Maldon and wrote a sequel play to it in Old English called The Homecoming of Byrtholt, Brytnoth's Son.... (perhaps not exactly that but close).

Hi, guys! I figured out how to see group invites... TAKE THAT, CONNOR! So I'm here. I have to admit I haven't actually READ lotr yet, but I've seen the movies and I'm almost done with The Hobbit :) And I just figured out something: HOBBITS ARE AWESOME!!!!

I stopped reading it at one point because I hate reading on my iPod, and that's the only way I can read it. But I'm happy to say that I'm reading it again, but I'm only 62% through it!
