Ooh...how did this one come about? I was going to read it with the 1001 Books... group in August, but it got pipped to the post by something else. If you're not starting until August, I might join you. It's supposed to be spooky isn't it? It'll be a good lead in to my Halloween readings! :)

Hi Amanda - yeah I can't wait. I realized I had been quiet with the "Chunksters" lately, so I thought why not host a side read, and well Uncle Silas came about.

Jason, do you know if there are any especially good reviews for a version of this on audiobook?

I've reading Pillars of the Earth via audio, and I think audio works especially well with the Chunkster-type schedule.

@Loretta - believe it or not, this classic hasn't been recorded on audio yet!

Lame! I found that that's the best way for me to keep up with 50-page-a-week type reading. I'm working my way through both Pillars and the Pickwick Papers that way right now.
