Kaylee Moncale ran down the isle in the grocery store. Hm. so many selections. Would it be Cherry explosive choco bombs....or chocolate vanilla surprise? Her mother caught up with her.
"NO! No ice cream. Imagine, me spending my money on that garbage. You don't deserve it anyway. You havn't finished the yard work. Melody cleared off her plate today, so she gets this new barbie." Her mother shoved three new toys in the cart. Kaylee grunted. Melody. Uhh. She was a brat. a B-R-A-T!!! That girl got everything. Kaylee followed her mother back home that evening, getting angrier every minute.

At home, Kaylee sat boiling in a corner, watching Melody play with the new dolls. That girl got everything, and got away with everything. Just as she was festering the most hateful thoughts, something amazing happened. The barbie doll that she was playing with at the moment started to change. It was turning purple, and the clothes were changing too! It was changing into a demon. Instead of the plastic smile, there was an evil grin, and it turned its head and said,
"Hi, Melody." Melody turned white and went screaming,
"AAAA!!!MOMMY!!! BARBIE'S A DEMON!!!"

"I'TS A DEMON! BARBIE! UAHHAAAAAAAAA!!!!" Mum stood up and I led her to the barbie. She looked at the barbie, and looked at me to ask who was the blame.

The demon herself pointed her little fist towards Kaylee and said,
"MUM, I know Kaylee did it. She changed it when I wasn't looking. Kara slowly turned her head to Kaylee, who was looking to slink of to her room.
In anger, Kara said,
"Go to your room. NOW. Extra chores, I think, will do the trick." Kaylee thumped of to her room. It wasn't fair.

It was just after nightfall and she had no where to go.Her parents kicked her out of the house because she had broken a very expensive antique at work.'You'd think they'd love there daughter more than a stupid piece of paper(money)' she sighed.She would just have to go back in the morning and apologise,then she would re-accomodated.Though that meant that she would have to work off what she did....

Kaylee sat still awake and in full clothing in her bed at one in the morning. She was still fuming, and didn't want to sleep. She had her arms crossed firmly. Stupid, stupid, stupid, melody. All it takes is something stupid, and she goes of on a rampage. Honestly, she hadn't done anything to that barbie....in fact, she couldn't figure out what had happened. She just sort of got really angry, and poof! Demon! It was all very weird.

There had been a cat that was sitting on the car that morning, and Kaylee's father had spent a while trying to get it off. He finally decided to drive and scare the cat into getting off, but when he reved the engine, it did nothing but stare meanly at him. The cat had been there for the rest of the day, and once scared Kaylee's father, for it looked like it was reading the time on the clock above the 7-11.
"Cats can't read time..." he had mumbled. It seemed to be waiting for the right moment. Suddenly, while Kaylee was pondering, there were three short raps on the door.

It was just a dream she mumbled to herself and fell back to sleep.

Mop
When finished check in with me

Maddie waited anxiously for Matthew. He was supposed to meet her at her house at three so they could spend the last week of summer together. There was a quick knock on the door and Maddie ran to the door so fast she was sure she would trip over something. When she got to the door she swung it open and then a bright smile formed across her face because she was looking at Matthew for the first time in months.
"Bye grandma" Matthew said sheepishly. " Have... fun." she said then turned around and slammed the car door behind her. Matthew and Maddie were still staring when she was gone. Finially Maddie broke the silence, " Matthew! I missed you so much!" she threw a huge hug at him and they tumbled on the floor laughing so hard that Mark came down to see what all the racket was. " Hey matthew! Its so good to see you!" he said while helping him and Maddie off the ground. "Ow my head hurts" Matthew laughed while he felt the bump growing on the back of his head. "Yea me too, lets go in and get some ice." the three of them walked in the house laughing.

Kaylee heard somebody going to the door. It must have been Kara, because a shrill voice rang out that said,
"Who are YOU??"

She heard a very quaint and precise voice answer, but it must have not meant anything to Kara, because she said,
"You're what?...I'm sorry, we don't want whatever your selling or doing....I mean it! GOOD-BYE!" Kara slammed the door, and Kaylee ran quickly to see who was trooping sadly back to a car or van or whatever, but there was no one there! They had been there a second ago!?!

All of a sudden, a large "EEEEEKK!! WHAT'RE YOU DOING HERE??!!" Kaylee ran downstairs as fast as she could to find out what was going on. But, when she reached the last stair, she stopped in her tracks. There was an old woman standing there wearing the oddest clothing. As in, a witches hat, boots, and a big black cloak. It was very weird to find people that dressed like that. Once she saw someone wearing the same style of things in a store.

Maddie and Matthew both got some ice for their bumps and they all walked into the office to see Mr. Waltly and Mrs.Waltly. " Hey mom, dad guess who's here!" Maddie said happily. "Well hello there Matt how was your summer?" Mr. Waltly asked. "It was okay the same as usual" Matt said looking down. "Well you know that you are always welcome here. O well look at the time! We better go and get your books! Now get your things and we will head down." Mr. Waltly told everyone. "Do we have to go muggle style?" Maddie asked doubtfully. "You know it would look bad if we flew off on brooms!" Mr. Waltly replied. "Now get going. Have a safe trip! Oh and Dan make a stop at Gringotts i think we might not have enough for both of them on what little is in your pockets!" Mrs. Waltly reminded us. "Yes, yes of course dear".

So Mr. Waltly, Mark, Maddie and Matt headed off slowly in the muggle car.

"Lissssiiiieeeeee," Elizabeth's little sister yelled.
"What?" she sighed.
"We go to park?" Sara asked eagerly.
"No park," Elizabeth said. "I have...something to do."
"What you have to do?"
"Ah..." Elizabeth thought frantically for an excuse. "I, uh, have to call Edward! That's it."
"Yes!" Sara screeched. Elizabeth blinked, confused. "You call and I play with Bobby!" she yelled. Elizabeth groaned.
"Fine," she muttered, grabbing the phone.
"Yay," Sara sang. "I play at paaaark, I play at paaaark!"

The phone rang. "Got it," Edward said to nobody in particular. His little brother banged his toy on the floor.
"Hello? OW!"
"Um....Edward?" Elizabeth's voice asked.
"Uh...sorry," he said into the phone, tossing Bobby's toy back to him. "My brother threw a truck at my head." Bobby screamed and threw the truck at him again. Edward heard Sara screaming in the background of the phone.
"Sara wants you to take Bobby to the park so he can play with her," Elizabeth sighed. "I think she might start throwing things at me if I don't." Edward laughed.
"Hold on." He turned to Bobby. "Do you want to go to the park?"
"YES!" Bobby yelled. Edward blinked.
"No, you don't want to. You want to keep playing with your truck, right?"
"NO! WE GO TO PARK!" he screamed, chucking his truck on the ground. "We go now!" He tottered to his feet and ran for the door. Edward sighed.
"I suppose you know the answer, since you probably heard all that," he groaned.

Elizabeth giggled. "I suppose I'll see you there, then," she said, and hung up. "Let's go," she sighed, grabbing Sara's jacket.
"Yayyyy," Sara yelled, taking the jacket.

Sara tugged at Elizabeth's hand.
"Swing!!" she yelled, trying to run to the playground. Elizabeth sighed and let her go.
"Push meeee!" Sara cried happily. Elizabeth grabbed the swing chains, walking backwards until Sara was suspended high in the air. She let go of the swing. Sara squealed, and Elizabeth pushed her again, smiling in spite of herself.

Edward arrived at the park. Bobby promptly yanked his arm out of Edward's hand and ran as fast as toddler legs could go towards the slide. Edward sighed and followed him, knowing that Bobby would probably trip and eat sand while running. Just then, he spotted Elizabeth pushing Sara on a swing, smiling. Must be nice to have a sister instead of a brother, he thought. They don't drive you insane all the time.

The old woman crossed the room in a trice and handed a fat envelope to Kaylee.
"Read it." she said. Kaylee looked curiously at it and thought of opening it. She looked up before beginning at kara and she had bugeyes and obviously didn't want Kaylee to open it. So what did she do? She opened it with a smirk.

The letter was hand written on beautiful paper that had a big 'H' insignia on it. It read,

"Ms. Kaylee Moncale has been formally invited to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry this fall on this day of eleven years old." Kaylee looked up and said,
"But I turned eleven months ago." to the old woman. She looked angry and looked harshly at Kara.
"So you forgot her birthday and gave it the wrong date? Childish. Read on."
"Hogwarts is the finest school of magic in the world, with the finest headmaster of the age, Albus Dumbledore." ((just pretend he's still alive)) "Furthermore, you will have the best experience possible if you choose to attend this year. We hope to see you, Professor McGonagall, Deputy headmistress."

Kara looked like she was going to faint.
"Witchcraft?" she asked
"And Wizordry?" Questioned Kaylee's father.
"Now see here, lady. There is no such thing as.."
Suddenly McGonagall's wand whipped out and she magiced a tea pot in midair.
"Impossible!!" Kara said.
"But not." McGonagall said.

Now, Kaylee was really confused. There wasn't such a thing as this Hogwarts, was there?

Elizabeth spotted Edward and waved. Sara screamed.
"PUSH!!!" she shouted impatiently, and when there was a lapse in swinging for three whole seconds, she hopped off and ran to the slide. Elizabeth sighed and followed her.
"Hi," she said to Edward, smiling.

"Hi." Bobby went down the slide, screaming as he slid. Sara attempted to climb the ladder up to the slide.
"Lissie! I climb slide!" she yelled happily. Elizabeth hovered cautiously at the bottom of the ladder, remembering the time when Sara fell off of it. Elizabeth's so nice to her sister, Edward thought. Wait- what am I thinking? She's- oh, forget it.

Elizabeth blinked at Edward. "Something wrong?" she asked. He shook his head, seeming to come out of a mini-trance.
"Uh...no. It's, uh, fine," he said quickly. Elizabeth rolled her eyes, obviously not believing him. They stood there for a second, watching Sara and Bobby run around screaming.
"So...ready for school?" Edward asked after a moment of awkward silence. Elizabeth sighed.
"No. But then again, I never am." She grinned.

Galleri skid down the railing like she was on a skateboard. When she got to the end, she did a triple flip and a twist in the air and landed like a gymnast would after their routine. she turned around to see Valerie slide down the railing and slip off right next to her.

"Girls!" their mom called. "Don't break the furniture!" Valerie rolled her eyes. Galleri was the reckless one. She was glad school started tomorrow.

When Harmony got home it was 10:30 PM
'Another hour' she thought.

She was just about to go too bed when There was a loud knock on the door. Her mom and dad were heavy sleepers so she would have to answer it.

'Hello..?' she asked the old woman standing on her doorstep
'Hello, I am Professor Mcgonagal' she said while handing Harmony an big fat envelope.
Harmony just looked at the woman. She was wearing strange clothing.
'Read it' she said a little forcefully
Harmony opened the envelope and took out the letter. It read:
Ms.Harmony O'Flynn has been formally invited to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry this fall on this day of eleven years old."

When everyone had their books Mr. Waltly suggested it was time to leave in a sudden rush. Mark looked at him and he was staring at some people. Mr. Waltly works for the Ministry so he knows everyone. "we need to go. Now." Mr. Waltly said in an urgent tone unlike his usual friendliness. "Dad are you okay? What is going on?" Maddie asked inpatiently.
"No time to explain just get to the car," we were all just staring at him now, " Go, NOW!" with that Mark, Maggie, and Matt were all in the car huffing and puffing. They had run so fast that they had to stop and pick up their books every now and then on their way back. Mr. Waltly had given Mark the keys to the car. Once they we back in the car no one spoke. They silence was eerie.
It was about half and hour before Mr. Waltly came back. He looked a little shaken. Mark opened the door for him. He got in without a word and started driving away.
" Dad what is going on?" Maddie asked. Mr.Waltly just kept driving until they were home. He hadn't said one word the whole car ride. The expression on his face was hard, like he was thinking about something disturbing. When they entered the house everyone gasped, even Mr.Waltly. For something was wrong, terribly wrong.

There was a man in a dark cloak sitting in the living room. He looked like he lived there by the way he was just sitting there. Mr. Waltly pulled out his wand very carefully. Then he spoke in a loud voice but a little unstable, " May I help you?" The man in the cloak responded in a dark and menacing voice. "yes, yes you can. I was looking for Mr. Waltly" the man in the cloak got up from the chair. By then Mark, Maddie, and Matt all had their wands out. "No need for wands i would like to speak to Mr.Waltly alone perhaps?" no one moved. "Well then, i guess your children will have to hear this too." he paused waiting for a reaction but no one gave him one. "Your post at the Ministry has been a little shaky for the past year or so." Mr. Waltly straightened up. " Kids go to your rooms" he ordered. "Dad I. . ." Mr. Waltly cut Maddie off and in a strict voice that no one could argue with replied "No Maddie everything is going to be okay. Just go up to your rooms and wait for me to come and get you." The three kids left unwillingly to their rooms. They all piled up into Marks room. "I wonder where everyone else is, like mom and sis?" Mark asked after a second. "Well i think Mom said something about shopping . . ." Maddie replied.

They just sat there in silence for about an hour. Finially Mr.Waltly came up. "Dad what's going on?" Mark asked impatiently. " Nothing is wrong, per se. But i did just get fired from my job. . ." he trailed off lost in thought. "But nothing to worry about." he just left without another word. Later at dinner where everyone was seated around the table, Mr.Waltly gave a full explanation of what happened.
He talked about how his job at the ministry wasn't doing to good. And how the unexpected visitor fired him. He was staring at his plate now. He was done talking. The rest of the week went without another word in that topic. Matt and Maddie went to the park, rode their bikes, and with Britney's help they got haircuts. Edward, the eldest brother lives in the united states. He is trying to figure out a new life there because he thinks London is boring.
Too soon Mark, Maddie and Matt were all on the train heading to Hogwarts. Mark went into a compartment with his older friends while Maddie and Mark found an empty compartment. They were both talking about the new teachers that are at the school this year when they heard a tap on the door. It was Mark. He opened the door and let himself in. "Hey guys guess who is sitting with me?" he asked excitedly. "Oh i don't know" Matt said. "Well Rose Hunt is sitting next to me!" he explained happily. "Hey isn't that the girl who you have had a crush on since the begging of school?" Maddie asked smugly. "Well yes i guess! Hey why am I telling you dweebs this?" he considered. "Well i think we are your like only friends dude" Matt replied. Mark waled out while Maddie and Matt were laughing away. They both ate their homemade sandwiches and fell asleep. By the time they woke up they were five miniutes away from Hogwarts.

Kate:

Jennie was up in her room writing a letter to one of her best friends from school, Katy, when her mother called from downstairs, "Je-en, the letters are here!" 'Yes!!' Jennie thought. She loved getting the letters from school, with the supply list for all the new, cool stuff she would get at Diagon Alley. "Coming." Jennie called back down to her mother. She quickly finished up her letter and ran downstairs. Jennie found her mother looking at the other letters, "Where are they?" She asked excitedly. Her mother pointed absently at the kitchen table. 'It must be a letter from Josie.' thought Jennie. Her mother was always immersed in Josie's letters. After all the family never got to see her. Only at Christmas. Jennie opened her letter and looked excitedly at the school list.

Jennie's two brothers tumbled into the room. When they saw the two letters on the table. They shouted with glee and ran to retrieve them.

Elizabeth spotted some girls waving at her.
"I'll see you later, ok?" She didn't wait for Edward's response.

Edward groaned inwardly, watching Elizabeth dart off to the girls.
"Elizabeth! He needs your help," a girl said, gesturing to a really tall guy. Elizabeth looked way up to see his face.

"Um...hi. Can I...uh..help. You?" Elizabeth asked hesitantly.
"Yeah," the guy said, smiling a huge smile. Behind the guy, Elizabeth saw two of the girls sigh dreamily. Ohmygod, she thought unhappily. Do they actually want to SET ME UP with this RANDOM GUY?! She sighed impatiently. The apparently took it as a dreamy sigh, and smiled wider. Elizabeth frowned.
"What do you want?" she asked flatly.
"Help with this," he said, grinning. He held out a piece of paper with math problems written all over it. "My, uh, parents made me go to summer school." Elizabeth tried her best not to roll her eyes. The girls had OBVIOUSLY given him the paper, along with the story.
"Fine." She gestured impatiently, waving him into an empty compartment and motioning that the girls should follow.
"We'll be right over there," they giggled, quickly darting into a compartment and slamming the door. Elizabeth sighed.
"Fine, then. I guess it's just us," she grumbled. The guy grinned.
"That'll be better." Elizabeth's eyes narrowed. "I mean, uh, better to concentrate on the work. Yeah."

Edward frowned at the sight before him. Elizabeth had motioned some random guy into an empty compartment-impatiently, though-and they were now doing...something. He started to walk forward, dragging his and Elizabeth's trunks behind him.

"No, that's not it," Elizabeth said, trying hard not to scream in frustration. The guy-who had said his name was John-obviously 'didn't get it.'
"I don't know about this," he said. "Maybe we should meet some other time and do this?" he suggested cockily.
"No," Elizabeth answered frostily. "We are finishing this page NOW." This stupid, idiotic, supereasy page, she thought to herself. The page was full of problems involving radicals- her specialty.
"But it would be so nice," John said, smiling blindingly.

Edward walked faster.

Elizabeth shook her head firmly. "NO. Let me get this straight for you- We. Are. Finishing. This. Dang. Page. Of. *censored!* Problems. Right. Now." John blinked, startled by her outburst.
"But-"
"Don't play stupid!" Elizabeth shrieked, finally losing her patience. She shoved the paper away from her and stood angrily. "You know how to do these STUPID problems!" John started to protest, but Elizabeth wouldn't let him get that far.
"Don't try and deny it! Go on! You know how! Admit it!" she yelled. John sighed.
"Fine. I admit- I do know how to do these problems. But that's not why those people gave me the paper and had me ask you. It's because-"
"Because you're pulling a *censored!* prank!" Elizabeth screamed at him. "Do not think that I didn't catch on! I knew from the first second you tried to work your stupid charms on me! I AM NOT STUPID!" She slammed the compartment door open, storming out and across the way. "And YOU!" She stood in the doorway of the girls' compartment, fuming. The girls looked scared. "You think since you're the oh-so-special sixth years, you can pull off a 'harmless little prank' on the fourth years? I think NOT!" she screeched. The girls flinched.
"But we just-"
"Oh, you know I'm right!" Elizabeth shouted at them. "Ugh!" She stomped out of the compartment, slamming the door. She passed John, who was still standing there. She stopped, shooting him her best death glare.
"Sorry," John mumbled apologetically.
"Apology NOT accepted," Elizabeth snarled.
"It wasn't my idea," he mumbled. "Those girls thought it would be funny, and I just went along." Elizabeth stared at him skeptically, not believing him, then started to turn away.
"Um...one more thing, though." She turned back around, where John no longer looked sorry or embarrassed at all.
"Will you go out with me?" he asked, suddenly cocky again. Elizabeth gaped at him, then quickly snapped her mouth shut and glared.
"No, thank you," she replied coldly. "I happen to have an interest in someone else."

Edward stood in the doorway of a compartment, staring slightly agape at Elizabeth. Just then, she stomped past him into the empty compartment, yanking him in after her and slamming the door shut.

Kaylee had had an eventful week. It had been full of weird and amazing things. First the letter, then her parents had almost exploded, and that McGonagall lady....and then she had visited diagon alley. That had been an adventure. She went by herself, because nobody had been willing to go with her. But, amazingly, she met a very nice, very nutty lady that she visited the shops.
"Oooh, hogwarts, amazing school. I blew up a desk once..." and the lady had gone into a trance, telling Kaylee all about some weird things about hogwarts and the Magical world.

It was decided that visiting olavanders was her favorite part of the trip. It had been amazing to have a beautifuly carved birch and unicorn hair wand choose her, which she now clutched in her hand on the hogwarts express. AAhh, there's a story worth telling. When she came up to the platform, she didn't remember what the old woman had said about it. All she remembered was something about going right up next to the platform....and then what? She started poking the barrier, as if this would reveal what it's secrets were. Soon she became frustrated, and leaned against it with a groan. Well, to her surprise, she went falling backwards and fell onto the platform.

Once on the train, she found a nearly empty compartment. There was a small girl staring into the distance and a black haired boy trying very hard to ignore the girl, but was intrigued very much by her strangeness.
"Can I sit here?" she asked.
"Yes." the boy answered. He was very willing to not be caught coming out of the compartment with the weird girl.

The weird girl's name was Quelle, and she was a blonde with big, questioning eyes. She noticed the girl coming in, even though she was still looking straight.

"Kaylee. How nice to finally see you." she said.
Kaylee looked at the boy as if to ask: Who is she???
He said in the same kind of look: I have no idea.
"How did you know my name?" Kaylee asked staring intently at the girl.
"I saw it in the future. I saw, in my vision, myself saying my name was Quelle. I love divination."

Kaylee's head was swarming with questions.

Karline searched for an empty compartment but there were none left.
She searched until she found one with a boy in it.
"Can I sit here?" she asked.

Elizabeth muttered under her breath angrily, still fuming. Those stupid sixth years think they're sooooo smart. Well, they're NOT!

Edward shifted in his seat uncomfortably, trying to think of a way to break the silence. Suddenly, he thought of something curious he'd heard.
"Elizabeth?" he asked cautiously. Elizabeth looked up at him, still not saying anything.
"Um...I've been wondering about something." Elizabeth raised an eyebrow, keeping silent.
"About what you, um, said...earlier."
Elizabeth glared at him.
"Um...when that guy asked you out," he started hesitantly, "you-"
"John," Elizabeth muttered, and continued to glower at the floor.
"Yeah, uh, him," Edward said, experiencing that weird feeling in his stomach again. "When you said you wouldn't, and he asked why not, you, uh...said..."

Elizabeth blinked at Edward, not getting at what he was trying to say.
"That you had, a, er..."
"Spit it out already, Edward! Don't give yourself an aneurysm," Elizabeth interrupted impatiently.
"An interest in someone else," Edward blurted quickly. Elizabeth's eyes went wide.

Edward's face was quickly turning red. He really didn't want to have to ask, but he was just too curious. He expected Elizabeth to give some vague answer, but then she did something unexpected. Her face promptly flooded with red, and she jumped up and stormed out of the compartment.
"Elizabeth, I was just wond-" Edward started, but Elizabeth went into an empty compartment, slamming the door behind her. Edward slumped back into his seat. Crud.
