I just picked up Moby Dick and Gone With the Wind from Fair's Fair but I've got a whole other shwack of books to read as well... yeah yeah!
Id be in for a book club. Unfortunately, I just stepped on my ereader, and that had most of the books that I havent read yet on it. So, Im going to have to fix that before I can do any Clubing. Unless you guys want to read Dune, I have it just sitting around somewhere, waiting to be read

Hey fellow Calgarians, looks like its been awhile since anyone's posted but I'm just wondering if there was some sort of book club going on, online or not.
Cathy it looks like you're right, the posts are pretty sporadic.Well if anyone out there is interested in setting up some sort of online reading group, send me a message. I'd love to get one going.
One idea for a book club could be to set goals instead of read specific books (since everyone has varied interests). Just this month I went and picked up a Calgary Public Library card... it may seem strange, but I haven't had one for about 18 years now. I just moved from outside of the city limits to inside, so the yearly fee went from over $100/person to only $12/person. I used to spend all of my money at bookstores but now I think I will be reading more because I won't have to spend so much money at Chapters and Amazon. What a relief! Pretty awesome, I must say. So... my goal now is: Whenever I have some extra time, instead of hopping on the computer, tablet or smartphone to surf the web.... I will pick up a book and read at least 20 pages. Anyone else (goals)?
I'd love to start a reading group if anyone else seems to be up for it, even though it won't be quite that many of us to start. I'm sure we could set up something up that works for us since there's so few of us currently active?As for goals, I'm afraid of setting any currently aside from my yearly goal on GoodReads since my exams are coming up soon, and I don't want to disappoint myself!
What sort of books or themes would folks be interested in? Currently I'm just trying to get at least 30 mins a day in for reading books (it usually turns into an hour or so, naturally).
