How are you-all going to deal with this new format? I checked out this item: http://library.playaway.com/product/2... from my library.

I suppose I could enter all six books separately, if I could find audio or DVD versions of them - but this anthology is actually quite different than the books, in any of the more traditional formats, and my review would reflect the experience I got from this format, not necessarily comparable to a review of a different format.

Having the voice read the stories, and having the pictures be (a little bit) animated, is a new experience, both richer in some ways, and simpler in others, than any other format I've used. I recommend that you find a way to list these Playaway Views as units - at least when they're anthologies.

Or at least list the anthology as a unit, and then I can say just once that it was a View and just once talk about how I felt about the presentation.

We already have lots of Playaway editions listed. They usually have "audiobook" as format and "Playaway" as edition.

This is a playaway VIEW though. It has a screen, because it's for Picture-Books. Also, it's a six story *collection* - and moreover there is no other edition that encompasses the collection (as far as I can tell).

Yes, audio playaways are audiobooks, no problem. I'm talking about something different.

I would list it like any other anthology, collection, or boxed set. Since it is a unique collection, you wouldn't be able to combine with other editions though (this is not uncommon for boxed sets).

The format, I think would have to be a type in, using the "other" option. I probably would use something like "ebook+audio", then put "Playaway View" in the edition field.

If someone wants to go ahead and do this I think you've got it figured out. I'm not a librarian and I have a particular talent for messing things up so I don't want to be, - so thank you whoever does enter it! :)

I listed the author as Unknown, as I couldn't tell from your link above who should be listed. If there is a better author let me know and I will update it.

Unknown is good - the publisher was the only 'editor' and the stories are by different authors. It looks beautiful, Thank You!, and I'm off to write my review. :)

I would change it from "Unknown" to all of the authors listed for it, if possible.

The authors are listed in the description, so that should be possible. Not a bad idea.

Both the Barkers books are by Tomie dePaola. Margery Cuyler wrote Stop Drop and Roll and 100th Day Worries. Miriam Cohen wrote First Grade takes a Test. First Grade Stinks is by Mary Ann Rodman. Mr. Ouchy is by B.G. Hennessy.
