Introduce yourselves here
Hi, Highwayman,Thanks for starting the group. And hello to all.
I'm Carl - dad, author of 'The Time Hunters' series, lecturer and sporadic car-booter.
I have a soft spot for naan breads, peanut butter and old stuff. I also have a scar on my scalp from being hit by a big piece of wood with a rusty nail in it. This might explain a lot.
Hi. I'm Denise. Denisebrum on Amazon. I read all sorts of stuff and am currently enjoying The Digital Wolf.
I'm John, also reading the Digital Wolf, think Angelas idea of a monthly book sounds a great idea.
Hi all, I'm Cornelius, author of the 'Words to the Wise' saga. I joined the group, updated my profile, and then promptly lost the group. That isn't a good start at all.
I'm Irene, love reading historical crime and some fantasy live on my own with my 2 yorkies since mum died last year, at the moment i am reading Sword of Shame can't tell you much about it at the moment as only just started
Aloha !I`ve worked part-time since `1979, so have had a lot of time to read in, I work in a library because I used to spend so much time there I thought it would be easier.
I have recently started writing little stories, something that still surprises me. In a nice way though.
:0)
I'm Kew on the forums. Living in Cornwall, ex-library assistant and bookworm.
Edit: I tried to choose Kew as my user name here too but someone else had already nabbed it!

Hi I'm Sam. New to kindle, I am a real bookworm but having problems storing all those tree books. I love fantasy and Sci-fi best but will read alsorts. Looking for some suggestions of good books to put on my Kindle.
Hi all. I'm Gary (garydow on the forums) and whilst I love crime fiction, I'll give most genres a go and have recently finished both of Ali Cooper's books (Girl on a Swing and Cave) which were quite a departure for me. Dislikes: Almost all true life (I like to lose myself in fiction!)
Currently living in Somerset.
Hi, I'm Joy. Living in Kent with my dog, family nearby.Been a bookworm since childhood, going through various genres on the way. Favorite at this time is historical fiction with period romance and fantasy / time travel also getting a look in. With so many free books for kindle it is easy to try out all kinds of books.
Hi, I'm Sue, have commented a couple of times on Kindle forum. I live with OH and my westie in Yorkshire. I read most genres but am not too keen on vampires and sci-fi. Have been reading a few biographies lately and am a big fan of crime novels(preferably British)
Evening allI'm Jax on here and Amazon. Not known to post much but always read the forums and have discovered some great authors / books thanks to everyones recommendations. I'm currently reading Wanderlust the second book in the Cordelia Chronicles by Heather C Hudak (very Twilight-esque) but enjoy allsorts!

Hello everyone,I'm Caroline, but you probably know me better as Oracle.

HiMy name is Jacquie and this is the first post I've ever made. I enjoy mainly thrillers and historical fiction.
HiI'm Melvyn, Melcom on the Amazon forum. This could be an interesting extension to the other discussions - I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Hi, I'm Dorina. I love to read and recently I discovered the pleasures of writing. I live In VA with my husband. I grew up in Romania, that's how the idea of my book came. If anyone is interested in Romantic Suspense...The Girl of Dracula
This feels like AA! Hi, my name is Chookgate (Christine in the real world). I love SF and Fantasy, but have been known to spread out into crime (eg Jeffrey Deaver) and seafaring (eg Patrick O'Brien)stories (sometimes combined).
Hi i'm Jo (Jo-Anne on Amazon), I also work in a library and my colleagues thought that i'd gone over to the darkside when I got my kindle!! I like reading historial and supernatural romance, with the odd bit of sci-fi and crime thrown in for good measure.
Hi, I'm not over on Amazon as much as I used to be, tend to be here or blogging instead. I'm TopCat on Amazon, go by TC most of the time but I'm really just plain old Tracy. I read pretty much anything and seem to be constantly updating my opinion of genres like fantasy that I didn't think I liked but am now realising I do. I live down in Devon, right by the sea.
Hi, I have found this while mooching around discussions and thought it might be fun!! I occasionally post on the forum (MrsR) and have appreciated the advice offered. I won't have to read a book a day, will I??? :o)Looking forward to seeing this develop!!
Hi,I'm Gina. I'm a TA in a school, I love my kindle and read many different genres. I love reading the recommendations from you guys.
Hello, Im Mag and loving my Kindle and all things Kindley. Reading crime, fantasy and sci-fi open to other genres as well. I work full time for the NHS..good... my bus journey is less than 10 minutes to work..bad.. not enough time to get the Kindle out of its case :(
Hi:I'm Harry and I am 88. I am the author of 1923: A Memoir. My book has been warmly received by most readers and reviewers. 1923 is not a nostalgic book about a long ago and happy era. Instead, it is a realistic description of how my family and others in Yorkshire were effected by the Great Depression. 1923 also recalls my life during the Second World War in the RAF. It is on kindle and only 83p
Cheers,
Harry

Hi Cheryl M.-M. here. I live in East Yorkshire on the coast and have always been a bookworm. There are too many books and not enough hours in the night to read all of them. Edited to say too many books and not boks, which are animals in Africa.....wouldn't want anyone to get confused about my strange habits.
Hi I'm Lisa a housewife and part time secretary originally from Leeds but now living near Stamford with partner, two sons and cat. Happy to admit I love fantasy, crime, chick lit and the odd vampire. Feel free to kick me out of the group for that.

Former specialist librarian; wide literary tastes; one rule - I will not read any book or watch any film described as 'heartwarming' or 'uplifting'. This doubtless deprives me of many pleasures, but also saves me a lot of time . . . I also believe that there's far more good reading out there than I shall manage in my lifetime, so I rarely re-read anything.
Hi,Philip Whiteland, author of Steady Past Your Granny's - can bore for England on many topics and often does.
Hello, I'm Lynne, live in Wales and France, with husband and 2 dogs, a lady of leisure, who reads anything, but enjoys crime, mystery thrillers, satirical humour, history, a few sci-fi authors, cookery books (probably not good for group discussion) good modern, classics, in fact anything interesting really, but not thrilled with zombies/vampires and slushy romances.AKA Tiggers mum on Kindle.
Hi. I live near Birmingham in a two-kindle household. I enjoy a wide range of genres - anything interesting and with an original storyline.
Hi!I'm Sarah - fantasy writer and reader of a wide variety of genres, single Mum, chicken keeper, kindle owner and all round slightly insane.....

Hello - I'm Sharon, an incorrigible bookworm since childhood. I live in the north-east of England with my husband and two cats. My Kindle was an early birthday present and I'm finding it very useful for the sort of big fat books I love, but have problems managing physically. I like crime, thrillers, horror, literary fiction, fantasy, some science fiction and history.
Hi everyone, I'm Robert Clear, author of The Cambridge List. I'm a recent convert to Kindle (along with the rest of the world, apparently).
Hi!! I'm Jud (or Judder from amazon forum) I'm originally from Lisburn but am currently living in Aberdeen and just like everyone else on here I love books. I'm addicted to my kindle and because of this have lost my husband due to lack of attention, I do leave food out for him and it disappears to I'm pretty sure he's ok. I like almost any genre of book but am going through a fantasy phase at the minute thanks to Game of Thrones![Roll on lunchtime for some more reading woot!]
"I'm addicted to my kindle and because of this have lost my husband due to lack of attention, I do leave food out for him and it disappears to I'm pretty sure he's ok."They are quite adaptable. I expect he will find his way down the pub.
Hello there,I'm Faith and I've been a member of Goodreads for a couple of years. Many of you regularly follow my bi-weekly blog posts and some will be familiar with my books. I received my first Kindle last Christmas and I've never looked back! It is crammed with titles. Look forward to sharing news and views with you all.
Best wishes
Faith
I'm Thea Atkinson on both places, author of a few novels and reader right now of Easy Innocence. I read lots but mostly during the summer as I teach full time and it keeps me pretty busy.
Hi, I'm Angela and I am a Yorkshire lass who grew up in Southern Africa and now live in Dorset.I was introduced to books by my grandmother at a very early age and have been a bookworm ever since. I would rather curl up with a good book than almost anything else.
Currently work full time plus (running own business) so my reading time is limited and very precious. That's why it has taken me so long to actually post here and what a lovely surprise to see so many people already joined in.
I've only had my Kindle a few months and really love it to bits because its so much more portable. Hope I don't lose my husband to it too - I have noticed a few mumblings about me reading again! He doesn't read much at all - maybe a manual if he gets stuck doing something.

A big fan of fantasy and science fiction but have mellowed as I got older and now read all sorts of things.
Live in a sort of calm chaos with Dotty no-ears my much loved cat.
Can be a bit geeky at times.
EDIT: Oh.... I also go by the name of Simon in that other universe.
