Scary!

Frightening! The article says: 'Mainstream voters may, be put off by the movement’s extreme views or discomfited by talk of self-proclaimed prophets “infiltrating” government.'

MAY??? Not totally, utterly, absolutely, entirely put off?!! DISCOMFITED??? Not appalled, horrified, outraged, disgusted, revolted, nauseated, sickened???

What kind of god do these people serve? This is beyond ignorance.

What I find especially worrying is that, unless they are unusually inept, I believe most subversive organizations would infiltrate lower ranks and other institutions before trying for the head of state. Which makes me wonder how much they've already infiltrated.

Quite a lot of fundies infiltrated the Bush administration so maybe some of them are still around?

I'm probably being paranoid, but I know there are some right wing religious groups who really want to change the U.S. to a theocracy, and they seem to be more vocal and obvious than they have been in a long time.

That is actually terrifying. Reading it gave me images of both The Dead Zone and The Handmaid's Tale.

We can only hope the US population would have more sense than to vote for a moron like this.

i'm with you on that! i often think of 'the Handmaid's Tale' when the crazy christian right-wingers start talking. makes me shiver.
