Jody Kihara (jodykihara) I thought I'd start a thread where we can share with everyone what we're currently working on. Are you working on a new story? Editing an older one? Publishing?
Let us know!

Jody Kihara (jodykihara) I'll get the ball rolling... for the past few months I've been publishing my latest novel, The Frankincense Trail... this was more work than the last few as I'm putting this one into print as well as e-book. It's up on 3 sites now (Amazon, Smashwords, iTunes) and I'm still waiting for it to hit a couple more. Then I'll be busy promoting it for the rest of the summer.

And then in Fall I really hope to have some time to get back to WRITING!

Paula Tohline Calhoun (paulatohlinecalhoun) | 2 comments Jody, that sounds great. I'll definitely check it out! I am having fun, but difficulty in that I have taken on two projects while trying to keep my blog daily post going. One of the things I'm doing to make it a little easier is to use my blog as a "testing ground" for different parts of both projects.

Project one is an anthology of my poetry. I am stuck in that I have absolutely NO IDEA to whom to send it. I found a couple of poetry on-line mags that asked for a sample, but they have both closed down. . .not a good omen! :-D

The other project is a memoir on my married life. I have been married for 35+ years to a United Methodist pastor (he is now retired), and the book is called "The Itinerant Life of a Pastor's Wife." Actually it's just a working title. Another one I considered was "Reverently Yours, God Damn It!" But my husband nixed that one! It really was just a joke, but since the book is mostly funny - we have shared a very different sort of life than many, and had a lot of funny experiences, and a few sad ones as well - I am looking to a better title - but that is the least of my writing tasks right now.

Keep me informed on what's going with you this summer. I am really going to try to have a first draft completed by the end of summer, but right now I don't think that's going to happen!

BTW if you know any poetry editors or publishers or anything in that realm, would you please let me know? It is very hard to find someone who knows what they are doing to really read poetry with a critical (and helpful) eye! I'll probably end up on the self-pub route, but I would really like to do both, because I want to include some of my photography as well.

Bri | 12 comments I'm working on a book with one of my friends. It's called The Confessions Trilogy, and our first book is called "Confessions: What really happened our first year at Washington Academy". We're hoping to finish by December First, but we may move the deadline back.

I'm also working on publishing my poetry...but I've had no luck with online stuff :/

Ronda Caudill | 2 comments I have just completed a short story called "A Night at the Bishop House." It is currently with my editor. I hope to have it available on Amazon in ebook format within a couple of weeks. I am also currently working on "The Choice," which is the sequel to my debut novel "Birthright (A Nobleman Novel). I am hoping to have it completed and published by the end of Oct. or early Nov. I am so happy to find this club. All of your projects are very interesting. I look forward to reading everyone's work. Good luck to all!!

Dawn K (DawnKor) | 1 comments I am currently finishing a YA book and starting another one. I am excited because this new one has been plaguing me, words, characters and monologue continuously playing in my head. I can finally put it down on paper.

Here is the first paragraph of "Peace of Mine";

It has been three months since the last time I was here in this boarding school. Three months since walking the halls, coming into the classroom, after-school hockey practice, and living with people that I have come to have known even better than my own family. Three months since I laid eyes on her, my inner peace and the one that makes me lose it altogether. It wasn’t her fault, but she was the cause just the same for my absence these last three months. And I would do it all over again, for her.
