I was wondering if anyones has any suggestions or know of any Young Adult IR romance books??

Perfect Chemistry is Latino boy/white girl romance. The second book, Rules of Attraction is as well. I think the third book is both Latino characters.

Yup! The interesting thing about the book is in the future, the default for everyone is mixed race. It's not clearly defined but their features are dark skin color, rather kinky hair and different shades of eye color. So when the main female char, a redhead, pale, freckle face girl, awakens and wanders on deck, the hero and everyone are a bit shocked because she is so different. I thought it was refreshing to read with that perspective. YA SF is really taking the cake on good stories these days. Hope to find more IR themed ones. If I don't get to write my own first, hehe. :-)

I don't know whether this particular forum is still of interest to anyone, but, Gravity by Raven St. Pierre is an excellent book that fits this particular topic. The heroine is African American and the hero of the story is of an Asian descent, both are teenagers. It also speaks to the prejudices that some interracial couples still face and the troubles that they have from families and friends. I will warn that it's a series and the second book has yet to come out.

great paranormal read and the first in the series.

I really enjoyed The Summer of Chasing Mermaids. Also Tiger's Curse is good, but a little too predictable.

The Bet series by Francette Phal is YA IR series. its an excellent, emotional, especially the last book. and yes all 3 book have been written.

I just finished reading this book. It is a pleasant story, about 2 Chinese and black girls who cross-dress and escape together from bad circumstances out West, join up with 2 Irish and 1 Mexican guys, and all become good friends, take care of each other, and of course, fall in love (AWWM, BWLM). The Chinese girl searches for a friend of her dead father; the black girl searches for her older brother, but it's pretty sweet to see how they are willing to sacrifice for the sake of supporting each other.

Inspired by Phantom of the Opera. Very well written with complex race relations, oppressive serf/indentured dynamic, enclosed slaughterhouse/factory setting, some minor aspects of horror, and of course, a love triangle. However, beware that this book contains excessive amounts of rape threats. =( It made sense at first, but later on I just wanted to start castrating people, even though something always occurs to prevent the rape from happening.

Just read this YA book that was diverse and had an interesting fantasy concept of imbibing paintings/drawings with the power of spirits. It is Puerto Rican girl x Haitian guy, though not sure it's "inter-racial" if possibly both are black?? The girl is described as having kinky hair and dark skin, but I don't think that's exclusive to black ppl?

This book sounds amazing Cassie. I'm going to see if they have it at the library (I sure hope so).

I also just finished by Nicola Yoon I enjoyed it the story, the characters, the writing very much - a great YA read! Also great artwork in the book by the authors husband.
I decided to read it after coming across the trailer, and now I can't wait to see the movie!

I'm also gonna check out other works by this author.
