All Borders bookstores closing

Ahh I need to use my gift cards. Poor Borders they just didn't know how to put things on sale... ever. That's why I bought a Kindle.
The one by me already close...Emily, they always had sales, but like the prices were already more expensive then other places, even after the sales the books weren't really on "sale"
Yeah that's what I'm saying. There was another bookstore around here not even a mile away that sold new and used books for dirt cheap. I also don't think they jumped on the ereader thing as much as say Barnes and Noble.
It is terribly sad. Though there wasn't a Borders near me, it is still a sad sign of the times. I love brick and mortar bookstores and I fear they will all be gone soon.
I just found out that my local bookstore was associated with Borders and it is closing too. I am so sad!
I was sad to hear they are closing. Although I definitely don't go to Borders (or any bookstore for that matter because I either order from Amazon or go to library book sales) much anymore, Borders will always be my favorite.I went a few times last month after I heard they were closing. I got some good books I really wanted, but I'll really miss them. I have so many good memories of Borders.

All Borders bookstores (over 350) will be closing - some as early as this Friday 7/22/2011.
If you've got Borders store credit or gift cards, plan to use them right away - apparently they will only be honoring them until the end of July.
