Rosepetal padded into Shadow Clan's camp carrying some wet moss. She padded into the nursery and dropped off a some of it to the queens and the kits. After saying some greetings Rosepetal went to the elders' den where her father, Hawkheart, was sleeping. "Father?"Rosepetal asked softly. Hawkheart raised his head and smiled when he saw his daughter. "Hello Rosepetal"he purred. Rosepetal smiled and nuzzled him softly and gave him the moss. He lapped at it happily and then laid his head back down. Rosepetal licked his head gently and left quietly, going over to the fresh kill pile.

Thunderstorm sat beside his sister, Summercloud, who seemed to be talking. Thunderstorm strained to listen to her, but she was just so boring.

"Anyway, that's why the squirrel eats nuts." She finished, looking satisfied as she ran her tongue over a paw. "Interesting, eh?"
Thunderstorm nodded. "Very,"

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Rosepetal saw Thunderstorn and Summercloud and padded over. "Good morning Thunderstorm, Summercloud"Rosepetal meaowed as she sat next to them

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Thunderstorm blinked, his eyelids heavy and dark. "Rosepetal," He mewed the greeting gruffly, staring ahead.

Summercloud turned brightly at Rosepetal. "Hi!" She mewed.

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

Rosepetal smiled at Summercloud. "Good morning"she meaowed, ignoring Tthunderstorm's rudeness or at least what she thought was rudeness

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

((Brb talking with ex boy help!))

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

((Eh....I haven't ever dated, so don't turn to me.))

Thunderstorm got up, shaking his pelt and ignoring Rosepetal the same. "Summer?" He asked, the short nickname for his sister. "Would you care to come hunting with me?" He asked.

Summercloud glanced at her tall brother. "Oh, well...I'm talking with Rosepetal, right now..." She flicked her ear in annoyance at her brother's horrible manners. "Maybe later."

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

((Lol im back! It was so weird talking with him! We just broke up and he wanted to be friends and yea....weird o-o))

Rosepetal rolld hr eyes at Thunderstorm. "You know you don't have to be rude to me"she snapped at Thunderstorm

((Hrmm. I've never kissed anyone either, nonetheless dated. I'm only 12! Well, I'm going to be 13 August 28, so I'm basically 13.))

Thunderstorm bared his teeth. "I'm not rude," He objected. "I'm just non-social." And with that, he padded away.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Nawjk. Don't worry Yums! You're guranteed to get a boyfriend before I do. And I'm turning 15 at the end of this year. I'm not that high on this whole "totem pole" business, either, I'm just sorta semi-friends-ish with some of intelligent and popular girls closer to the top.

Awesomely Random the Bestest D-Con | 28 comments ((Dating isn't such a big deal once you get older. Trust me ;) ))

Sparkstar sat in a carefully selected spot outside his den, soaking up the morning rays and observing his Clan from his higher vantage point. His gazed raked over the Warriors Den, and he could barely supress the amused twitch of his whiskers. Warriors, he chuckled to himself, They think just because they're no longer apprentices they suddenly get to sleep in. Sparkstar had nothing against the warriors- StarClan, he'd been one of them at one stage of his life- but he couldn't help teasing them sometimes... particularly when it was the morning, and when Sparkstar happened to be at his most bored.

With a soft purr, he got up from his seat and returned to the ground in a few short jumps, padding past the rather small freshkill pile (though that was to be expected, considering it was only morning), greeting Thunderstorm on his way past and nodding to Rosepetal and Summercloud. He poked his head into the Warriors Den, before slipping the full way inside. He nudged the few cats who remained sleeping in there, carefully avoiding waking the cat he knew to have been on watch that night, and remarking to the others that it would, perhaps, be best to make themselves useful.

Silverbreeze | 25 comments Iceflame never overslept.
It was almost as if he were basically hardwired to wake up early, or before most cats at least, and go about his duties. Whilst some prefered to sleep in and savour their precious moments of sleep, Iceflame merely found it easier to be up and ready at the break of dawn; any later and he found it a struggle to drag himself out of his nest. So it came as more than a shock, although at the time he'd simply been unhappy that a cat was trying to rouse him from his sleep, to find someone nudging him in the ribs and telling him it was time to wake up.
Iceflame twitched at first, an annoyed growl accidentally slipping out, before he opened his eyes and found it was Sparkstar who was looking down at him. Surprise seemed to boost his reactions, and he was on his paws and looking embarrassed before he'd even had time to realise that he had mused. Ducking his head, Iceflame silently cursed himself, almost expecting a scolding from the leader. Fool, he thought to himself with a shake of his head, should've known the one day you sleep in would be the day the leader had to wake you. Of course, these sorts of happenings were just his luck. It was as if his life was dominated by the phrase that, whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.
And a part of him kept screaming, his pride he suspected, that it would not look good on his reputation if he was reprimanded like a kit in front of the entire Clan for the mistake. StarClan, he hoped he wasn't going to be put on apprentice duties or something. How severe could a punishment for a mere growl be, anyway? He would've gotten away with it if it had been another warrior, but no. Apparently "life" had other ideas for him.
Ugh, I'm such an idiot, he snorted, mentally facepawing, shaking his head yet another time in a mixture of amusement and exasperation.
Still, he wasn't doing himself any favours by sitting around and worrying about what Sparkstar was or wasn't going to do. With a flick of his ears, he raised his head to face him, accompanying the action with a respectful dip of his head. Sparkstar was not known for getting angry, at least not often enough for most to notice, and Iceflame was relying on this fact to help him get off the hook. Hoping the tom was in a pleasant mood, he put on his most apologetic face, whilst bracing himself for whatever could come.
"Sincere apologies, Sparkstar. I didn't realise it was you..." he meowed, trailing off slightly at the end.
Despite his efforts to be at his most regretful, Iceflame could not help the touch of amusement that had accompanied his words at the end. Man, he sounded stupid. Part of him wanted Sparkstar to be angry with him now, if only to save him the embarrassment of having to realise how pointless his apology was. His whiskers twitched in amusement, and he hurriedly ducked his head to try and hide it, lest Sparkstar notice and get annoyed. It was ironic, almost. Iceflame, the tom who so happily and so blatantly humiliated the other Clans, was here in the Warriors Den, cautiously trying to avoid his own embarrassment at the paws of his leader.

Awesomely Random the Bestest D-Con | 28 comments Sparkstar shook his head, amusement evident. Here was Iceflame, whom he considered one of his most loyal and trusted warrior, apologising over something so minor as a mistaken growl. Despite what the tom seemed to think, that was not what the ShadowClan leader considered a particularly serious offence. It was hardly even worth the acknowledgement, really, and Sparkstar would've happily ignored and forgotten it in a blink of an eye. Only Iceflame's reaction and embarrassment had caused him to take note of it in the first place.

He flicked the tom's shoulder with his tail, letting out a purr. "Relax, Iceflame," he chuckled, turning away and heading towards the exit of the Warriors Den, nodding in greeting to a couple of woken cats along the way. "I'm not going to smite you for it, afterall," he added with a touch of humour, disappearing out of the entrance and padding towards the freshkill pile. Somebody must have been out hunting earlier, because he uncovered a freshly killed mouse, picking it up and taking it towards the Elder's Den.

message 38: by Silverbreeze (new)

Silverbreeze | 25 comments Iceflame almost immediately relaxed at Sparkstar's tone, releasing a breath he hadn't known he'd been holding and giving him a thankful nod.
That, he thought, was a close one.
He followed after Sparkstar, stepping out of the stuffy den and into the crisp morning air. Inhaling deeply, he was greeted with the familiar scents of ShadowClan and it's many members, letting out a satisfied purr and making his way down to the freshkill pile. Despite the late start, he could not help but feel that it was going to be a good day. Perhaps even one of the best this season if he was lucky (though, realistically, since when had "luck" and "Iceflame" fitted into the same sentence without "bad" being thrown in there somewhere?).
His temporary high was pretty much ruined upon approaching the freshkill pile, however. Somebody had definitely been out hunting earlier, as mentioned by Sparkstar, but the patrol must have been rather small. The prey was not enough to feed the entire Clan, and Iceflame couldn't help but note that there probably would've been more than enough for the Clan if he'd gotten up early and gone out on his normal solo hunt. But then again, in saying that, beating himself up about it seemed rather ridiculous, too. He'd always known his method of an alarm clock wasn't particularly fool proof.
With this knowledge putting a slight spring in his step, Iceflame left for the Camp entrance, deeming it not too late to go out in a hunting party of one. Not that he didn't like the company of his Clanmates. Iceflame was merely a creature of habit, and he saw no reason to invite any of the others when he could just as easily go out and do it by himself. It wasn't like any badgers or foxes had been scented anywhere near their territory lately, and even if he did just happen to come across one... well, there were plenty of trees around for him to climb. No biggie.
Once outside the Camp walls, Iceflame swished his tail contentedly, savouring the feeling of his paws sinking into the pine needle-cushioned ground and the many scents that seemed to attack him all at once. His favourite, by far, would have to be the smell of the pine trees. There was something strangely sweet yet tangy about it's distinct scent, and for some reason he was absolutely in love with it. Perhaps it was because it reminded him of home, or even the promises of freedom it held for him as a kit, but Iceflame would thoroughly despise it if he were forced to be seperated from it.
A moment or so passed, in which he allowed himself a few more seconds to enjoy it all, before he got ahold of himself again and set off into the woods. It wasn't the best time to be daydreaming, not when he had some prey out there just waiting for him to sink his claws into.

Rosepetal sighed and streched. She saw Sparkstar leave the warrior's den and called a greeting to her leader.

Hawkheart woke up again and slowly sat up in the elder's den, his bones stiff. "Where in the name of Star Clan is my breakfast?"he muttered

Snowfang shook herself and daintily used her paws to cover up the small area she had just used to make dirt. Unfortunately, something she had eaten the night before had caused her too wake up much before dawn and walk out to the dirtplace, and after going walking for a while she began feeling better. Now she was hungry, though determined to bring the one vole she had caught back to her Clan. She circled around a bit, not wanting to make it seem like she had just been sitting at the dirtplace the whole time. She trotted slowly with the plump vole in her jaws. All was quiet - until she turned around a tree and missed bumping into another cat by just a mousetail. "Oopsh, uhm shurrah," she tried to get out through the vole, but ended up dropping it anyway. Oh, you mousebrain! she scolded herself inside. It's Iceflame!
Once she had dropped the vole, she tried a proper apology. "Iceflame, I'm sorry. I was not paying attention." Her tail flicked nervously. She wanted to impress the older warriors, but she actually admired Iceflame more than the rest.

message 43: by Silverbreeze (new)

Silverbreeze | 25 comments When one went out hunting, they were usually supposed to be alert.
It was something Iceflame seemed to have forgotten that day, otherwise he probably would've smelt the ShadowClan she-cat before he nearly collided with her. In fact, he was so shocked at her sudden appearance, he stood frozen to the spot for a second or so, blinking in surprise as if he were still fully registering what had nearly just occured. When it finally did, he shook his head to clear himself of his temporary paralysis, and turned to face the talking she-cat.
Snowfang. If her voice- which had admittedly assisted in breaking him out of his earlier trance- had not given away her identity, then her looks certainly did. Iceflame knew her identity well, if only because she'd recently had her warrior ceremony. It always took time to forget the face of a cat whom's name you had chanted not all that long ago.
Clearly, he thought, in reply to her apology.
His whiskers twitched in amusement, regarding her with a thoughtful look and wondering if he had looked as needlessly embarrassed as she did after he'd accidentally growled at his leader. There was honestly no need to look so upset, as far as Iceflame was concerned, and he absently pondered whether or not Sparkstar had felt the same as he did now: hardly concerned by the incident in the slightest. Accidents and mistakes, as his mother had constantly reminded him when was a kit, are bound to happen some time or another.
But surely, he was not helping her nerves by not speaking. Being one of the newer warriors could be difficult at times, all the older cats were well aware of that, particularly in ShadowClan. Younger cats were known to get the occasional hard time from the more experienced and bad tempered cats that inhabited Iceflame's Clan. Fortunately, for Snowfang at least, Iceflame was not one of these cats. He rarely got himself worked up over such small and insignificant things.
"Forget it," he meowed, dismissing it with a wave of his tail. "Everybody is entitled to mistakes."
Iceflame had made many in the past himself.
His gaze was drawn downwards, and he tilted his head to the side curiously as he regarded the single vole she had caught. At a season such as this, he would've thought there was more than a single vole in the area. Then again, in saying that, it was entirely possible she'd been in the wrong place at the wrong time to hunt. The tom knew from experience that, some times, prey tended to gravitate towards one area of the territory instead of another. It was just a matter of where you went and when... Or, there was the other assumption, that she merely hadn't been out for all that long to be able to hunt much. Either option was possible.
Might as well ask.
"Not much luck with the prey?" he queried, nodding down towards the vole. Without waiting for an answer, he went on to ask, "Would you like to join me, instead? StarClan knows one of the older warriors could have a go at you for it."
And didn't Iceflame know it. He'd only been an apprentice when a senior warrior had pretty much snapped his head off for not bringing back enough prey.

Snowfang's eyes widened a little bit and she flicked an ear in surprise. Though she was not very close to him, he always seemed like the one to do the solo hunting. She knew she shouldn't flatter herself, but she was pleasantly surprised to know that she was at least worthy of going hunting with him. With a nod, she purred softly.
"Yes, thanks. I was hoping to catch something else on the way back, but I would be just as happy to go with you. I may learn something else." Maybe it wasn't a good idea to point out that she was still a young warrior, but it was better than acting cocky.
