((This pack lives on a pretty open plain, at the base of the mountain and the outskirts of the forest.))

Falda lifted her head, ears perked as she hunted in the woods. She hd already caught a rabbit but wanted to bring something else back to her pack. Her keen eyes scanned the forest as she looked for food

Roth was lying and remaining motionless, waiting for a large enough group of small little rabbits to make it in front of him. He sneered, but stopped himself remembering that any one of his smiles seemed to scare everybody off; friends, enemies, and game. After a sizable 6 rabbits were chewing the grass in front of him, Roth made his move. He lunged at them, making them all run in the same direction... towards the centre.

Two of the rabbits veered off from the path, but Roth didn't bother with them. Better 4 than two.

Roth continued his chase, and passed in front of another wolf, of the same path, he didn't stop to talk, there was food to chase back to "camp".

Falda took a step back and bared her teeth in surprise as Roth bounded past her. "Stupid furball! Scared off my prey!"she thought as she picked up the rabbit she had caught before

Another rabbit had left, leaving a nearly straight line of 3 rabbits, running, or hopping, or whatever they do. They were fast, but Roth was as fast, making sure to keep the pace slow enough not to catch them, but fast enough to keep them running. They entered the centre of the "camp" and he ran them into a hole that he had dug. They helplessly leapt to try to get out of the enclosure, but were unable to. Feeling proud, Roth snarled at the rabbits, causing them to feign death.

Falda trotted back to "camp" and watched as Roth caught the rabbits. She padded up to him and dropped her rabbit in front of her. "Nice catch"she said, indicating with her nose the trap Roth had set

Roth looked at her with a cold glance, but shook his head to fix it to a more friendly face. He only partially succeeded for his face was relaxed, but his eyes were piercing and unnerving.

"Thanks..." he said. He eyed her own catch and said, "You too. If you want, you could lay it in the pit too." Motioning first to her rabbit, then to the pit.

Falda nodded and put the rabbit in the pit. "How did you do it? You know get the rabbits to run into the hole?"Falda asked, always ready to learn

Roth was unused to being spoken to so much, so at first he stirred uncomfortably.
"Well..." he said softly, "What do you feel when you see me?"

Falda cocked her head to the side, confused. "What do you mean?"she asked

Roth looked from side to side. "I am scary, aren't I?" he asked, confused. This one, who he had never really stopped to talk to, seemed... different.

Falda shook her head. "I don't think so. I just saw you hunting and since I like to learn I was wondering if you could teach me to hunt like that..."

Roth was utterly baffled. Never had anybody besides Alpha had ever talked to him like one of the others. He decided that she was either very nice, or very ignorant.

"Well, fear can take control of anybody. Using the fear that I give to others, I added it on to the natural fear that rabbits have of us, and they ran very swiftly. They were just concerned with getting away with me, and most of them know that running to the side takes more time and could lead to them being caught, so they run straight. However, in this case, the more stupid animals will run off, not thinking that they are just making a single target to find. Do you understand?"

Falda nodded slowly as she thought it over. "I think so. How did you get them to run towards camp, did you just chase them in?"Falda asked

"Yes," said Roth. "They are too scared to think that they are being led right to a pack of hungry wolves."

Falda nodded again. "That is smart. I normally chase rabbits in which ever direction they are running but now I may change tha method. That was smart thinking on your part"Falda replied

"Thanks..." said Roth. "But for you... it might not work."

"Why not? Sorry for all the questions"Falda said, sitting down

"Well... you aren't scary, for a wolf that is." said Roth. "I have a frightful face, so I easily scare others, but your face is too kind. You might scare rabbits, but not enough for them to be only thinking of running. They also think of escape."

Falda thought about it nodded slowly. "I never thought of that. Maybe I should make my face more scarry"she joked and made a funny face

Roth just shook his head, not noticing the sarcasm. "A scar across your eye helps."

Faldafrowned and let her face return to normal. "Are you suggesting I get a scar then?"she asked

"I suggest you find your own way." said Roth. "I suggest you find a way better than mine, since mine requires smart game."

Falda nodded slowly, frowning slightly. "How did you get the scar on your eye?"she blurted out then looked away quickly. "Sorry"she muttered

Roth shrugged and grunted. "Its fine. I have no memory of when or how I got this scar."

"Could it have been in a fight?"Falda asked softly, shifting

"Only if I was in a fight as a pup."

Falda nodded again and shrugged. "I think it is cool if you don't mind me saying"she replied

Roth just grunted. "It's frustrating to have it, because the pups are scared of me."

Falda frowned. "Why would they be scared? I think your nice"she said

"Looks count for every first impression," he reasoned. "And the smaller and more helpless you are, the scarier everything else is."

"Not if you get to know the wolf. If you get to know them the aren't so bad right?"replied Falda

"I suppose." Roth stirred. "But I'm not exactly nice though..."

Falda frowned more. "Your nice! Your standing talking to little annoying me. Most wolves irgnore because I ask too many questions"Falda said

"One nice thing does not correct a dozen evil ones."

((Sorry, Have to get off. Good Night))

"Are you saying your evil?"Falda asked

"No." Roth looked at Falda, "Just one that does evil things."

Falda's frowned deeepened. "Roth you do not do evil things! If you did everyone would know about it in the pack! Tell me, when did you do something evil?"asked Falda

"Just so long as those evil things don't compromise this pack, you are welcome to do them," interjected Sindera. She trotted up, her tail low behind her.

Falda dipped her head to Sindera. "Good morning Sindera"Falda said

Sindera made a low whining noise in response. "Good morning. I see you two have already been hunting."

Falda nodded. "Roth caught four rabbits and I caught 1"she saod

"That's very good. But right now, I feel we need to check the borders. I can go alone, if you'd like."

Falda shook her head. "No, I'll com if you don't mind"Falda replied and glanced at Roth

Roth dipped his head low, as a servant to a master. "I shall come with you if that is what you wish."

Falda watched Sindera walk off and shruugged. "What werre we talking about?"

Roth looked back at Falda and said, "Nothing important." Then he stood up and followed Sindera.
