That really was hard! I only got 80%! (Ai! Rhaich!) Clearly I need to reread a large portion of my Tolkien library! (That's alright, though... Any excuse to read Tolkien is a good excuse!)
Some really tough questions in that quiz. I'm actually surprised I got 60%. Hope there's another quiz on the way! In the meantime, looks like I need to dust off the old Tolkien Bestiary.
I've done a couple of Middle-earth Botany quizzes, if you want to give them a try. You can find them, and a few others here

It's a great quiz. I hope I have time for more soon. Gotta get my Hobbit reading in before the films too.
I've taken your quizz twice, four month apart, I got 80 percent the first time and 60 the second, I geuss I have forgetten quite a bit in four months.
A very hard but enjoyable quiz, well put together. I got 12 out 15 questions right, much to my surprise, so I did not do too badly.
Well, I'm never doing a quiz on goodreads again. It AGAIN changed my answers, I chose the correct answers for #4 and 5. Bah! >:|

Thanks, Mary :-D

Woah that was difficult. 33% is awful, I expected family trees and stuff but nooo it was butterflies :/ I don't know how people know this stuff... good quiz though :)
This was one of my favourite quizzes to write, focussing as it does on Tolien's rather neglected mundane creatures rather than elves, dwarves and orcses. I'm pleased to hear that your frustration at the questions didn't didn't dampen your enjoyment too much :-)
I've been reading Tolkien for 40-odd years, so that helps me set my Middle-earth quizzes, but so does The Complete Guide to Middle-Earth by Robert Foster ;-) There's people in our group who know waaaayy more than me about Professor Tolkien and the Middle-earth legendarium, though :-)
