Brandon Sanderson is one of those authors whose popularity is growing quite quickly and I've loved everything I've read of his so far. He's one of those automatic buy authurs for me, which means, if he publishes a new book, I buy it as soon as I can. (Usually the day it comes out - or I've preordered it a long time before online.) I've gone to several books signings, so he's one of the only authors I've actually met several times. It's nice to live in the same state as him, because there are quite a few book signings and various other events.

The Mistborn series was my first introduction to him. I was hooked from the start. Then I went back and read his earlier work, Elantris, and have been reading the rest of his books once they've been published, starting with Warbreaker. He's also done a fantastic job with the last couple Wheel of Time books.

I'm really looking forward to The Alloy of Law: A Mistborn Novel coming in November and A Memory of Light coming out next year some time.
