I'm really excited for the fall semester (August 22). My most anticipated class is The Evolution of Exotic Dance. I'm not really looking forward to math since it's my weakest subject. Also not looking forward to my 7AM computer class.
What are you majoring in Sashana? That sure sounds like an eclectic course list! I just finished university in June, so this will be the first time in many, many years that I will not be returning to school in the fall. It feels WEIRD. I sure won't miss the homework assignments, but it sure was a nice shelter from the real world while it lasted.
As of now I'm Pre-Physical Therapy major but I'm not a 100% sure about it. I have a few years to decide since I'm a freshman.
I think my school starts sometime in September, usually it's a day or two after Labor Day in the U.S.I'm really looking forward to taking "Vector Analysis, Linear Algebra and Differential Forms" with my favorite professor!
I'm dreading taking "Abstract Algebra" only because the professor is very boring when it comes to lecturing. The subject is very awesome though.
Adam, to me your classes sound terrifying! Two classes I'm looking forward to this fall are Literature in Popular Culture and Social Media's Role in Literature.
haha, yeah, depends on the grad class. I would be terrified of an English grad class.I think I would be terrified of your classes : P.
This is my last year! I'm both excited and terrified about college almost being over.I'm most looking forward to my class "Writers of the Beat Generation," and "Art of the Novel" also sounds really good.
I'll also be taking "Western Literature: Renaissance to Enlightenment" and "Principles of Biology."
I'm considering taking an independent study course as well so that I can get started on my thesis paper early. The problem is that I still have no idea what I want to write about.
I move back to school August 20th and classes start back up August 22nd.Ohhh Kayla Principles of Bio :D. I'm studying to be a Bio teacher, so me likey xD.
I'll be taking: Mythology, Social Psychology, Ecology and Evolution, and Principles of Botany.

I took a Bio class my freshman year and it wasn't a great experience, so I can't say I'm looking forward to this one. However, the main reason I didn't like it was because the tests the professor made up didn't include much of what we went over in lectures but focused mainly on what we had to learn from the text ourselves, so I had a hell of a time studying for them. Hopefully, I'll like the professor for Principles of Bio better. Have you had Caroline Kennedy for anything? Do you know what she's like?

Oh dang you go to UNCA as well xD. Who'd you have for that bio class? I had a similar professor xD. I've heard that Caroline Kennedy is good in lecture classes but a harsh grader in the labs.

Bio shouldn't be a problem then. I didn't have to sign up for a lab.
I went to a college in Massachusetts for two years, and that's where I took the other class.
Yeah, you'll be fine.Ohhh cool. Theres a Bio professor that is exactly as you described. Well, he focuses his tests around what he goes over in class and then adds random stuff that isn't even in the texts or his notes. His name is Petranka -shudders-. I haven't met anyone that has enjoyed being in his class xD.
Lori wrote: "Kayla, Will you share your "Writers of the Beat Generation" reading list once you get it? Thanks."Lori, the reading list was posted online a few weeks ago. There are only two actual novels and all the rest are essays/anthologies, but here's the list if you're still interested:
Queer by William S. Burroughs
Big Sur by Jack Kerouac
Beat Down to Your Soul: What Was the Beat Generation? by Ann Charters
Revolutionary Letters by Diane di Prima
The Portable Beat Reader by Ann Charters
Minor Characters: A Beat Memoir by Joyce Johnson

I have finally set the appointment to take the GMAT so I should be going back in Spring or Summer for my Masters. Not sure excited is a word I would use to describe my anticipation. More like boredom on the verge of dread. :)
