message 2: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) Silas Walker (that fexy kid) was sitting at the end of the boardwalk on a starry night beneath the glowing full moon. He could hear the lapping of the water against the wooden pillars beneath him.

Noelle looked down at her phone intently. She was furiously typing a message to her ex, who wouldn't leave her alone ever since she broke up with him and left. She didn't notice that she was slowly drifting towards the side of the boardwalk. Suddenly, her foot slipped off the edge, sending the rest of her in backwards. She shrieked, throwing her arms out and trying to catch herself, but ended up falling in with a large splash. She plummeted quickly underwater, accidentaly gasping in and swallowing a large amount of water. She thrashed around, trying to reach the surface, but she was too panicked and her messenger bag was weighing her down.

Laina (laina-j) Silas heard a shriek behind him and turned around - just in time to see a girl falling over the edge. He ran over to the side of the boardwalk where he last saw her and dove in to go get her.

The water was icy cold, and it took a lot of energy to keep moving. He could see the blur of a human form just a few feet away.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

((nah, she's got Silas ;) ))

Noelle was feeling kind of fuzzy, and became weaker, unable to keep swimming against the weight of her wet clothes and bag. She sunk down slowly, a few bubbles escaping her mouth and floating up, up, to the surface where she should be.

message 9: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) Silas made a motion with his hands and the form began to move toward him. He was beginning to run out of air, and motioned again. The girl's body bgan to move toward him faster. He clutched her close with his left arm and swam with his right. Kicking and kicking, he finally managed to reach the surface.

Silas lifted the girl out of the water and then pushed with his hands. Her body lifted up onto the boardwalk. Then Silas climbed up one of the pillars and sat down next to her. He tried to remember what he knew of CPR and began to do it.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Noelle felt warmth as someone pulled her to the surface and onto the board walk. She was somewhat conscious as they began doing chest compressions. Some of the water in her lungs was violently pushed out, replaced by air that was pushed in from warm lips. The process was repeated, and suddenly Noelle gasped, sucking in a huge breath as her eyelashes fluttered open.

message 11: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) Silas sighed with relief. He motioned with his hand, and his jacket that had been next to him at the end of the boardwalk earlier, was moved to his hand. He sat up the girl slowly and wrapped the jacket around her. She was still freezing. He wrapped his arms around her, though it probably didn't help much because he was cold, too.

message 12: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 30, 2011 01:30AM) (new)

Noelle shivered and leaned against him. Suddenly, she remembered she could control heat. She almost laughed as she concentrated and brought both of their temperatures up from freezing. "Thank you," she said, her voiced laced with awe and sincerety as she pulled back from him.

message 13: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) "you're welcome," he said smiling at her.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

She looked down at the phone that was still in her hand and sighed. There was no way it would work now...Maybe that was a good thing, she thought with a sigh. She glanced back up at Silas. "Sorry," she laughed, gesturing to his jacket and himself. She was pretty embarassed by her dumb fall.

message 15: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) "Nah, it fine," he said. "Let me walk you back to your dorm. Unless you want to sit out here with me for a little longer..?" he trailed off, and laughed nervously.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

"I, uhm, sure, if you want to," she said, looking out at the ocean awkwardly. She wasn't really in a rush to get back, and he had just saved her life, so she kind of wanted to know him better.

message 17: by Laina (last edited Jul 30, 2011 01:47AM) (new)

Laina (laina-j) "I'm Silas, by the way," he said, feeling pineapple awkward that they didn't know each other.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

((PINEAPPLE!!!))

"Noelle," she smiled. "It's...nice to meet you Silas," she said, unsure of how to treat someone who saved her. She felt like she should maybe bow down or thank him profusely.

message 19: by Laina (last edited Jul 30, 2011 01:54AM) (new)

Laina (laina-j) "Nice to meet you, too." A little formal? Silas looked out across the waves. The sounds around them were soothing, and Silas began to relax a little.

message 20: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) (("Nice to blueberry you, too." A little strawberry? Silas looked out across the peaches. The apples around them were soothing, and Silas began to plum a little.))

message 21: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 30, 2011 01:59AM) (new)

((ROFLMFAO. But no pineapple?!?!))

"Not exactly how you saw your evening going, eh?" she asked with a small laugh.

message 22: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) "Well, no, but it's not too bad now, eh?" I mean, it's a nice night." He said, gesturing at the waves and the clear, starry sky.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yeah it is. It's not usually so clear and bright. Seems like there's some sort of veil that'n not there tonight..." she said distantly. She realized she was spouting random crap and closed her mouth quickly, blushing and hiding her face with her soaked red hair.

message 24: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) Silas brushed her hair back behind her ear. "A pretty color," he told her.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Noelle blushed deeper. "Thanks," she said. "My mom had red hair..." she said, trailing off.

message 26: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) "I like it," he told her, playing with a few of the pieces. After a few seconds he put the lock of hair behind Noelle's ear. Silas ran his fingers through his own dark brown hair and looked away awkwardly.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

She murmured another thannks and leaned against him a little with a sigh. "I should probably be getting back," she said, then added, "You should too."

message 28: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) "Alright," he said. But Silas made no move to get up. He wrapped his arms around Noelle, afraid she was still cold, and rested his cheek on the top of her head. He was still watching the waves and the spot where the water met the starry sky. This spot was almost hard to distinguish because the water was reflecting the stars so perfectly.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Noelle tensed but then relaxed into his embrace. She didn't know Silas, but she let him hold her because it felt nice and she didn't have the will to move. "If you don't look hard enough, it seems like it never ends," she said, staring out at the ocean with droopy eyes.

message 30: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) "Yeah," he sighed. "It kina does." Silas heard her breathing slow and pulled her closer. He didn't know what it was, but he didn't want this moment to end.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Noelle's eyes continued to droop and she yawned quietly, laying her head on his chest as she drifted off. For whatever reason, she trusted him.

message 32: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) Silas held Noelle tightly. It might have been that he just saved her life, but he felt protective of her. He felt that maybe if he held her pineapple closely, no harm would come to her. He kissed her hair gently and rocked back and foUrth slowly.

message 33: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 30, 2011 09:39AM) (new)

Noelle sighed in her sleep, content, warm and safe. She snuggled closer, her mOth curving into a small pineapple smile.

message 34: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) ((Shawn! Shawn! Gus! Guess what? I FOUND THE PINEAPPLE!!!!!!!!!))

Silas knew they should be getting back, but he didn't want to wake her. Noelle would need her sleep after almost drowning. He desided he would wait a couple hours, until it was almost dawn. Silas dozed off a few times, but managed to stay awake and, mostly, alert.

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

((!!!!!!best flipping show ever!))

Noelle's slowly opened. Someone was holding her closely. they were warm and it felt lovely. She smiled, and then shot up, not remembering where she was or who she was with.

message 36: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) "Whoa! Hey!" Silas said. "You alright?" he asked. The way she got up so fast alarmed him. He had just been dozing off again, when she jumped up.

message 37: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 30, 2011 10:04AM) (new)

Noelle looked down at him, then around the boardwalk and sighed in relief, remembering what had happened. Then she wondered why she'd stayed there..."Yeah, fine, sorry," she smiled a little and looked around, nervous to get back to the school.

message 38: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) "Alright," he said, standing up. Kind of unsure about what just happened. "We should get bac- Wow." Silas had turned to get one last look at the water, and just in time to see the sun moving up and reflecting off the water in a pineapply magnificient way.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

"What?" Noelle asked, having not seen the spectacle. She turned around, slightly impatient.

message 40: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) "Don't tell me you don't think that THAT looks cool," he said.

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

"I do," she said, glancing at it quickly. "I just need to get back," her palms were sweaty and her fists clenched by her side.

message 42: by Laina (new)

Laina (laina-j) "Okay," Silas was starting to feel awkward. He began walking back towards the acedemy.

message 43: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 30, 2011 10:54AM) (new)

Noelle followed him, her heart beating fast and her eyes darting.
